Story
Name: Carmen Age: 3 years old No small children, dogs or small pets Review Malinois adoption requirements below Howdy, my name is Carmen! Believe it or not I just finished raising 14 puppies! Whew, am I ready to focus on a little "me time". I want to have a person of my own. I will do best with someone who is home a lot. I'm a Malinois and meant to be with my person a lot. We can do so many fun things together - hiking, playing ball, dog sports, going on road trips (I love the car) and just hanging watching tv. I need someone who really understands my breed. I'm not really the right dog to train you about how to own a Malinois. I'm pretty young as you can see from my pretty white shiny teeth! (they tell me about 1 - 1 1/2 years old). I walk well on a leash and not reactive to people or other big dogs or horses. I am not a fan of the little yippy dog types so think cats might fall into that category too. If you can give Carmen an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.com/adoption-form/ We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks. Thank you for your interest in saving a life! *****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements***** The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. Because of their need for a high level of exercise, both mentally and physically and their need for ongoing training, only applicants with demonstrated owner/handler experience with this breed will be considered. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats. Must be previous owner/handler to be considered

Story
If you want a protective, affectionate, smart, loyal, athletic 3 year old Belgian Malinois, then look no further, that’s me, Chester! This isn’t my first rodeo so I am looking for commitment, someone in it for the long haul. I require you to be a strong person with a soft heart. I need to look to you for comfort and security when I am feeling a bit unsure of myself. I like other girl dogs and maybe another boy if you can take it slow and introduce us properly. I haven’t met any other creatures, but I promise I’ll try to be nice. I will be your true best friend, so come on down and meet me! As with all Malinios he will need daily mental and physical stimulation. He might do well with another dog if properly introduced. He does want to be the alpha of the pack, so it will need to be a stable well balanced dog to make it work. He has been working with Zen training and is doing very well there. Continued training is always helpful for the dog and the new adopter. *****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements***** The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. Meet Zack *****Belgian Malinois Adoption requirements***** The dog you have selected is a Belgian Malinois. This is a breed that has very specific needs for an adoptive home. The vast majority of them are not best suited as family pets, but in homes with experienced handlers knowledgeable of their needs and breed characteristics. We will not place in homes with small children or small dogs/cats. ?? Zack needs a hero ?? If you remember, Zack came to us several months ago with his sister Zoe (who has since been adopted ?), they were trapped by HARTT with several other dogs, all in rough shape. Zack is just under a year and has had a really hard start to life, whether he was neglected, abused or both, we will never know, but it has led him to be very fearful of humans. As you can imagine, shelter life is very hard for dogs like Zack. Zack struggles with fear aggression, a lot of which stems from barrier aggression in his kennel, as his way of telling people to give him space. But underneath that tough exterior, he is just extremely scared. It takes a lot of time and patience for him to warm up to people and become less defensive. Outside of his kennel he is very avoidant of people more than anything. He has made an immense amount of progress, he will walk on a leash now, and trusts a few volunteers with handling and petting him. But nothing will ever be able to help him as much as being in a home. Zack THRIVES with other dogs. He truly turns into a completely different dog when he is playing with another dog. We are looking for a committed, experienced and patient foster home for Zack, with another young, playful confident dog to help him learn about the good in humans. Zack may never be the type of dog to come up for pets and cuddles, but sometimes the magic of a loving home and family can make the world of a difference. Please consider helping Zack ? If you can give Zack an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/ We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. Beautiful Kira! Miss Kira is quite awesome, she's a rockstar with her obedience and even knows her commands in both english and german. Kira is conditioned to a treadmill and a pro with agility. Kira is a high drive, very intelligent, loyal, amazing girl. Kira's best match will be someone that under needs, a training background or training knowledge would be preferred and someone that has the time to help Kira be the best she can be. Hiking, biking, traveling, agility, and a very loyal companion and she also enjoys an evening watching a movie too. Kira is approx 4 yrs old, spayed chipped and ready to find someone just as awesome as she is. Due to Kira's prey drive, No cats and absolutely no small dogs. Kira is ok with bigger dogs and can be a good player with the right match, but she can be selective. Dog intros are required. Prior to a meet and greet, you are required to submit an adoption application. Please don't send an email through this site as it will not be answered. If you have serious interest, please go to the Bully Pride of Arizona website www.bullyprideofaz.com to submit your application. If your application indicates a possible match, we will call you to further discuss. Then, we will determine a meet and greet. We are looking for a certain type of home for Kira. Please understand our process. More info regarding the adoption process is also on our website. Kira comes with extensive training and she also comes with follow up training with her new adopter provided through JD's Powerhouse K9 Bootcamp. Kira's adoption fee is $300.00 (home checks are required and no out of state adoptions) Kira is spayed, chipped and current with her vaccinations. Characteristics Active, loyal, ahletic, protective, well trained, beautiful

Howdy, I'm Hugo, a stunning Shepherd mix! I'm an active fella that needs a home with a yard I can get my zoomies out in. If you have any other dogs, I would love to meet them. Bonus points if they're playful and energetic like me! I walk great on a leash and love exploring the world around me. The shelter is only so big so I would love to see more of the world with you. I would prefer all kids in the home to be 6+ as I can sometimes forget my size around the younger ones. I love treats and can already perform "sit." If a smart Shpeherd is what you need, look no further than Hugo!

These pups are in Glendale, Arizona too!

Story
Bernard aka “Bernie” is a handsome 4-5 year old German Shepherd who has been waiting for his perfect forever family to come along. Bernie is a special guy who is a volunteer favorite among many at the rescue. He has a few quirks which has caused him to be with us for quite some time. He will need a family with patience and commitment, and one who really understands the breed. Bernie can be selective on the people in his friend group, so we will require that any potential adopter comes to meet Bernie multiple times to ensure it is a good fit and set Bernie up for success. Initial introductions will involve a muzzle, so please be aware of this. Once Bernie trusts you and builds a bond with you, he is an amazing, loving, happy and sweet boy. However it is important to know that in a home setting, anybody new coming into the house will need to take introductions very slow. German Shepherd experience is a requirement. German shepherds are known to have hip problems, and unfortunately Bernie is affected by this. In our care he has had 2 FHO (Femoral Head Ostectomy) Surgery’s to correct his hips. However one of his hips never healed properly so he does have a limp on that leg from time to time. Bernard is an awesome boy once you take the time to get to know him. He is smart and loves his people. He will need a home without children and would do best as an only dog. If you are willing to give Bernie a chance, please fill out an adoption application. If you can give Bernard an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.com/adoption-form/ We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks. Thank you for your interest in saving the life of a dog.

Story
Our sweet girl Kayla is about the happiest/goofiest pup you can find. She is a beautiful mix breed who gives ample hugs and kisses to her humans. She has quite a bit of energy so would benefit from more training to hone in her skills and focus. She has all the potential in the world! She also has some mad jumping skills, so would need careful supervision in her future home. Kayla makes friends to every human she meets, and would likely do well with dogs with the proper introduction. She has been patiently awaiting her home for several months now & will be forever grateful to her person for giving her a chance. She truly is the sweetest! If you can give Kayla an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.com/adoption-form/ We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application.
