Story
Hi, I’m Miss Daisy! I am a sweet, loyal girl who loves being close to my people. Whether we are relaxing at home, watching the day go by, or heading out for a fun adventure, I am happiest when I am with my family. I enjoy getting outside, going on walks, and exploring new places, and I would love a home that can keep up with my energy and zest for life. I am still learning how to play and share my treats politely, so for that reason, my friends at the shelter are recommending that any children in my new home be 10 years or older and able to understand my boundaries while I continue to learn and grow. I may also do well with another tolerant dog friend with proper introductions. If you are looking for a loving companion to join you on adventures and be by your side through it all, I might be the perfect match for you!Adoption Price: $250

Story
Coco is a 4-year-old purebred Belgian Malinois with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She is incredibly loving, affectionate, and thrives on connection with her people. Coco is great with kids and has experience being friendly with most other dogs, making her a wonderful companion for an active family. She has a playful side and absolutely loves chasing a ball — it’s one of her favorite things in the world. Whether it’s playtime in the yard or a car ride with her head out the window, she finds joy in the simple moments and brings that energy into every day. Coco is smart, loyal, and full of life, exactly what you would expect from a Malinois. She would do best in a home that can give her the time, attention, and activity she deserves. She is not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Making the decision to rehome Coco has not been easy. She is truly the best dog I’ve ever had, and this comes from a place of wanting more for her.

Story
NOTE: MAGGIE IS WITH THE COUPLE WHO FOUND HER AND TOOK HER TO THEIR HOME IN DURHAM, CA (NEAR CHICO). GSRSV HAS NOT MET MAGGIE. WE ARE LISTING MAGGIE FOR ADOPTION ON THIS WEBSITE ALONG WITH OUR OWN DOGS TO GIVER HER MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE. PLEASE SEE END OF THIS PROFILE FOR CONTACT INFO. "Maggie" is a button-cute, approx 6-mos old female Belgian Malinois mix pup in urgent need of another foster or permanent home. Maggie showed up at a construction site near Chico on 5-17-25, and one of the workers took her home. The worker and his wife (Jennifer) had the pup scanned for a chip, but she does not have one. The couple have been keeping Maggie at their house, but they already have one dog and their landlord--who lives next door--will not allow them to keep a second dog. The landlord has given the couple until Sunday, June 1, to relocate Maggie. Here's whAt Jennifer has to say about Maggie: "She is a sweet girl who is eager to learn. She was not house broken at all when we picked her up but only has a few accidents now. Doing great in a kennel over night. She loves being close and cuddling and is a love bug. She is learning to sit. She is great with new people. She had not met my oldest son before but I had to leave Saturday to help my middle son move from San Jose and she had no aggression to him coming in to the house with his dog and girlfriend. All three dogs [including her Pit Bull] played great all day with no issues." Maggie is located in Durham, just south of Chico. If you can foster Maggie for Jennifer and her husband, or if you're interested in adopting Maggie, please contact Jennifer Gomez at 530-415-2947 or jen.whirlpartners@gmail.com.

Story
"Lulu" is an approx 60-lb, 2-yo spayed female Belgian Malinois mix who is super-affectionate, energetic and playful. She might be described as a firecracker--she has that fun, explosive kind of personality! Lulu is healthy, up-to-date on core vaccinations and microchipped. Lulu is an absolute sweetie with people, both those she knows and strangers as well. I have not observed Lulu around children yet, but I'm pretty sure she'll be fine with most kids. My only reservation is that Lulu still likes to jump up on me when she's excited, and this would be a problem for some kids. Lulu simply needs a little more training to overcome her jumping habit. Lulu is fantastic with other dogs, and in fact, I'd really like to see her go to a home with another young, playful dog so that she'll have a playmate with whom to burn off some of her considerable energy. She'd be fine with both a male or a submissive female. (See elsewhere on this page for a video of Lulu playing with Gretchen, a 3-yo female Norwegian Elkhound mix.) I have not observed Lulu around cats but I doubt that she will be good with them given her high energy level and the known prey drive of Belgian Malinois. Lulu is completely housetrained and non-destructive in the house (at least in the presence of other dogs). She is good on leash and has excellent off-leash recall. She's smart as a whip, which is characteristic of the Belgian Malinois breed. She's also fairly headstrong, which is more characteristic of the Terrier breed. For example, when Lulu is on my bed and I ask her to move, she will ignore me initially until I repeat myself a little louder--sometimes more than twice. Lulu appears to have received some basic obedience training, as she immediately sits on command. Lulu does have one behavioral drawback and that's her ability to scale fences. She can easily go over a 6-ft chain link fence. I'm not sure about a 6-ft wood fence, but if it has cross-rails facing towards the year, she'd probably be able to use them to scale the fence. Lulu will go right over the 6-ft chain link fence in a separate yard I've tried to keep her in previously, but she does NOT go over the 5-ft wire fence nor the 6-ft chain link fence surrounding my property. She simply wants to be with the pack, and I'm pretty sure she would not try to jump a 6-ft fence when left in the company of a compatible dog. Lulu loves to go for car rides and is a very good passenger. She loves to play fetch and to play tug-of-war. She can get a little mouthy when she gets really excited, but nothing out-of-control. GSRSV rescued Lulu from the animal shelter in Wasco, CA, on 11-13-25. She had been brought to the shelter as a stray in August of this year and was nearing euthanasia when I rescued her. Lulu is located in Pleasant Grove, CA. Her adoption fee is $300.

Story
Milo is your all around happy, loyal, energetic, people pleaser pup. He is 3 years old on May 18, 2026. He LOVES to play with water (the hose or even water balloons) and he loves walking (Is leash trained), even loves walking off leash and wont go far from his owner. He is a big cuddle bug, will jump on you just for hugs and loves to talk when he is about to be fed his food. He also loves to play fetch and will do that over and over again and bring you the ball back each time. He is good with other dogs and animals. He also is good with people and children down to toddlers/babies. Ive had Milo since he was a baby and he grew up with my three children from age 1 up to 12. He loves to play with each one of them and he also loves cuddling on the couch with them. He is the all around loyal friend you are looking for. I unfortunately dont have the time to give him the attention he wants and deserves with working full time and travel ball sports. Looking for a good, loving home for him.

Story
Max is a wonderful, loyal, loving, chill dog. He is three years old and up to date on all vaccines, leash trained and loves walks, loves cuddling, playing, and just lounging on the couch with you. Max unfortunately does have a stage 4 heart murmur but is untreatable. Vet said he will live until he is unable to live anymore and can be up to 8-9 years. This heart murmur doesnt stop him much, if the vet never told us we wouldnt know. He is still active, loves long walks, playing fetch, and cuddling up watching your favorite movie. He is good with all animals, people and kids. He currently lives in a home with his pup brother Milo, and 3 younger kids (3,6,11). Needing to rehome him do to busy schedule with working full time and now travel ball with kids, he isnt getting the love and attention he deserves. Hoping to find his loving home as soon as possible, let me know what questions you have, I am happy to answer them all!
