Story
Molly is a 1 year old Belgian Malinois mix with a lot of energy and love to give. She would thrive with structure and exercise. She cannot be around any small animals, including cats and small dogs. She is very sweet with people, but jumpy, so she should not be around small children. She does not like strange dogs, so introduce other large dogs slowly over time.

Paige is a 35 lb 1 year old female German shepherd mixed with a smaller breed, so she is the perfect size. She is playful and snuggly. She loves cuddles, belly rubs, toys, and treats. She is high energy and loves to go on walks and hikes. She would be a great companion for an active person or family. Story
Sweet, loyal, and endlessly affectionate — this good boy is ready to find his forever home.Kodak is a beautiful, happy Belgian Malinois with a heart full of love. He's been called `the best boy` — waiting patiently in his kennel, tail wagging, just hoping you'll open the door and take him out.Visiting a volunteer's home, he settled in immediately, stayed close to his person, and appeared fully house-trained. He's a natural cuddler who loves to lean in close. Outside, he walks well on a leash. He's curious about squirrels, but redirects easily without pulling. He's calm and unbothered around other dogs, big or small. In the car, he's completely at ease — happy to nap or ride with his head out the window.Kodak can feel nervous around unfamiliar men and large crowds — a patient adopter willing to work on socialization will help him blossom. He does great with couples and in quieter environments. He will make a super companion, playmate, and hiking buddy! To meet our very handsome Kodak, make an appointment at yoloshelter.org/dogs or email adopt@yoloshelter.orgJune 25, 2026, 1:20 am

Story
Hello, this is Myla. She is 2 years old and a german/malinois. She’s an amazing dog with some much potential..she’s super hyper and wants to play all the time. She doesn’t do well with other dogs but she’s home and crate trained. She’s very anxious when not stimulated properly so i’m looking for someone who will give her the life she deserves. Unfortunately my parents cannot take care of her because she requires too much attention and as much as I want to keep her i’m a college student with not enough time for her.. and there’s no way around. I’m in desperate need for help ASAP.

These pups are in Davis, California too!

Story
Clay is a 4 year old neutered male livestock guardian/shepherd mix. He loves people more than anything. He is good with cats and small dogs. He is okay with some large dogs and not others. He has not been observed around young kids. Clay is medium energy. He loves to run and play as well as cuddle and nap. He is still building confidence in new situations and with new people. He is very shy in public. At home, he is confident and always wants to be by his person's side. He will need someone willing to go slowly when introducing him to new people, animals and experiences. Clay was found on the streets of Modesto as a stray. No one claimed him. He was set to be euthanized at the shelter due to overpopulation before we took him. At the shelter, he was terrified and kept to himself in the corner, shut down in fear. In his foster home, he is lively and social.
