Story
Life happens fast, if you don't stop every once in a while and look around, you might miss it! I came to GDR with my siblings and Mama, who are all adopted now yaaay, and now I'm waiting for it to be my turn to be adopted! Dodger is a happy and excited boy who loves to wag his tail and makes lots of noise, just like his sister! He has a ton of energy to spare and wants to use it running around, playing fetch, or going on long walks. He'll need lots of activity and would be great with another active dog and active kids :) Dodger is a very sweet and polite boy also who loves to cuddle on the couch or bed, or sit down right next to you. Some basic information about Dodger; he is male, Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, and is large-sized (60-99lbs). Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Meet Ranger, the intelligent and active Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix with a heart full of love and boundless energy. This handsome boy is a fast learner and has mastered essential commands like sit, down, wait, and shake. He's so clever that he tackled a level 3 puzzle on his first try! Ranger is a well-behaved and well-trained pup, making him a pleasure to have around the house. He's house trained, crate trained, and shows no signs of destructiveness indoors. However, he does experience some separation anxiety when his human leaves the house, which is why he's kept in his crate during errands. But don't worry, when he's playing in the backyard with his furry friend, he's perfectly content and doesn't exhibit any separation anxiety. Ranger is an active boy who loves going on walks, and he'll gladly accompany you on all your outdoor adventures. While Ranger is intelligent and affectionate, he can be barrier reactive, meaning he may react when he encounters certain barriers or boundaries. Patience and positive reinforcement training can help him overcome this behavior. This is very typical behavior for both breeds and he absolutely has to be adopted into a Mali/GSD knowledgeable family/ Ranger was in pretty rough shape when rescued and the vet initially thought he had an intestinal disease. Nothing was definitively diagnosed but the vet believes he has small intestinal issues. He is on a folate vitamin daily and will just need annual lab work and a high quality RAW FOOD diet. Ranger's charm and charisma shine through in the photos and videos provided, capturing his playful and loving nature. If you're looking for a smart, active, and affectionate companion, Ranger is the perfect match. Give him the love and care he deserves, and he'll reward you with loyalty and companionship like no other. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Our Ryder is a stellar individual. The sweetest boy on this planet. Ryder is an absolute character. He thinks that his primary purpose in life is snuggles, so we are trying to work on his jumping. He is being handled and introduced to basic obedience here at All Creatures Country Club, and he is getting far better. Ryder does have anothe quirk that will need to be addressed, if your fencing isn't secure, and tall, don't expect him to not challenge it, because he delights in getting out. He loves being out and about with his people and really an active home would be ideal for this ... bed hog...

Story
https://www.greenepets.org/adoptionapplicaiton.html Special Handler, Savvy Belgian Malinois Dog Owner Leopold is absolutely amazing. He is extremely laid back and such a gentleman. I pulled him from Animal Control this morning because he was on his "death's door date". He was okay meeting a stranger "me", and didn't pull as we walked to the truck. Opened the tailgate and told him to "Hup" and up he went. He had a couple of barks on the 15 mile trip to our kennels, but he didn't mind being in the back. He also waited when I opened the tailgate to unload him. Didn't dismount until invited. He will be in chill mode for the next three days and he is barking in the kennel. During this time I will be making every effort to find his owner and figure out what brought him to Greene County. Leopold will be assessed this Friday. He currently seems very laid back, and a little shy, though he has been great with all the new stuff thrown at him so far. Not a worker, I see more of a snuggler. And he was picked up with a small female terrier.

Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Story
Meet Jolene, the charming 2-year-old German Shepherd looking for her forever home! This sweet girl was discovered tied to a cluster of mailboxes with her pink leash, abandoned and confused. Initially cautious, Jolene quickly realized her rescuer was ready to help and leaped into her car - the rest is history!  Despite her past abandonment, Jolene is resilient and loves people. With her affectionate nature, Jolene is a people and dog enthusiast, always ready to play and make new friends. Don’t be fooled though, this fun girl loves a good nap cuddled on the couch with her people. Up-to-date on her shots and fixed, this lovable girl is eager to embark on adventures and bask in the love of a devoted family. Jolene’s zest for life requires an active household, as she’s prone to bouts of boredom that might manifest in the occasional chew or dig. An apartment left empty for hours won’t suit this loyal girl; she craves companionship and activity to thrive. Story
2 yr old Rocky is an intelligent and docile boy. He is a gentle giant. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who learns commands fast. He came from a home with many dogs and has never had any issue with them. In his current home, he has been kept separated from his foster brother who is reactive to other dogs, but he sees them through the gate and never once barks. Rocky is little timid in new situations. He loves car rides. He is excellent with children. He loves for the neighborhood kids to pet him. He is so polite and never jumps on anyone. Rocky is potty-trained and crate trained, although he is rarely crated, since he is very perfect outside a crate. During the freeze, he was patient about going out, and never once demanded to be taken out. He is a really sweet and tolerant pup. Rocky likes to run around in the backyard but once he is inside the house, he loves to lay on his foster parents’ bed or on the couch to feel closed to his humans. His foster dad says that he is the perfect dog. Rocky is 80 lb, neutered, is microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. He can travel to most states and Canada for the right home. A fully fenced yard is mandatory for our dogs. Rocky is a flexible dog and lives to make his human happy. Rescue story: Rocky's owners always used to leave him outside and he would come up to the neighbor's home. Finally they moved and did not take Rocky with them. His neighbor took him in and is fostering him.
