You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cruz was saved from a high-kill shelter in Calfornia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine on Wednesday 3rd August. We post our available dogs in states across the East Coast and Canada to reach as many people as possible in hopes of finding perfect homes and families. We do not transport dogs — families must come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine to meet and, hopefully, take home their new best friend. Many people stepped up to foster and a boarding and day care kennels in Bangor also reached out to offer to take some dogs and they took Cruz and his girl riends Clara Belle and Ryder Girl. They have been at the boarding kennels since the end of January and have been doing great, the staff love having them saying they are wonderful and sweet, they have met children and have been great around them, they are well mannered and ride great in the car. Story
Kashmir is a patient, understanding dog and a purebred Belgian Malinois, though much larger than average for the breed. At about 115 pounds, he’s all muscle and very tall for a Malinois. He was originally rescued by my mother from an experienced owner who, due to health issues, could no longer give him the care he deserved. Sadly, my mother is now facing her own health challenges and is unable to properly care for him as well. Kashmir is wonderful with children and gets along well with other pets. That said, he is still a working dog at heart and needs proper structure, exercise, and engagement to truly thrive. While he’s become a bit lazy over the years (for a Malinois!), he is very intelligent and highly trainable once you rebuild his drive and motivation. Im an experienced dog handler, but I dont have the space he needs, so Ive taken on the responsibility of finding him the right home. He has so much potential and would do best with someone familiar with the breed.

Story
Rip a 4 yr old, Malinois/Belgian Shepherd mix. He is a big boy at 90lbs. Rip is very intelligent and eager to please. He is very food motivated. He knows many basic commands, including sit, touch, down, paw and is working on roll over. He is also crate trained. Rip enjoys going on long walks with staff and volunteers. Rip's walking ability has received glowing reviews, as our walkers have told us he is one of the most enjoyable dogs to walk. Rip enjoys human interaction, and will ask for attention and affection at any given opportunity. Like any good dog he loves a butt scratch, a belly rub and a head pat. As for other dogs, Rip is selective. He enjoys the company of a dominant female, who can doll out and receive some rough and rowdy play. As much as he loves kids of all ages, due to his size and general doofiness a home with children is not recommended. Rip is also not suitable for a home with cats. For more information on Rip Wheeler, call AWS at 860-354-1350 email animalwelfare.socty@snet.net or visit our website aws-shelter.org for a pre adopt application. Adoption fees for Dogs (8yrs and up) is $150 Adult Dogs is $400 and Puppies under a year is $500

Story
4 yo Belgian malinois mix Maddox and her 2 year old malinois sister Mel lost their parents, their homes, and siblings to divorce and overnight, her world collapsed. Maddox is a super sweet, almost perfect pup. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She lives with dogs, a kitty, and two small children, and gets along with everyone. She does love to play fetch, but mostly she is very quiet for her breed, and prefers chilling with her foster family. Maddox tends to be a bit more reserved and enjoys her own quiet space. Maddox is housebroken, crate trained and very affectionate and better suited as a companion than a high-drive working dog. Maddox weighs 60 lb and is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, heartworm negative and kept on proheart 12. She loves to sunbathe, and snuggle. The sudden change in their situation has been very stressful to Maddox, so we would definitely like to find her a home where she gets lot of love, and affection. Maddox is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet our gorgeous pups via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
