Story
****ABSOLUTELY NO CATS**** Big Tina is a ~2 year old, healthy, yed, female Belgian Malinois. She is around 90 lbs., hence the name Big Tina. She is energetic and requires a daily outlet for her energy and drive. Shes so sweet with people, and shes figuring out other dogs. Shes not bad with them, just awkward. Shes very intelligent, pushy, and picks up on patterns very quickly. She loves cuddling on the couch and is a typical sensitive sweet female malinois. Tina CANNOT be trusted around cats. She will kill one in seconds. It is a very rewarding expierence for her. This issue is deeply ingrained in her brain and cannot be "fixed" due to how self-reinforcing the behavior is. I will not reach out if your application states you own a cat. As a professional dog trainer, Id like to offer a free lesson package to anyone local to my area if they adopt her. Shes a really amazing dog despite some glaring flaws. She deserves to find a good place to call home. ***ABSOLUTELY NO CATS****

Story
Pocahontas is a 6 month old Belgian Malinois mix who will instantly win your heart! She is initially soooo shy and unsure when other dogs are barking all around her. But once she gets out of the shelter building and into its park area, she lights up with the most precious smile, clearly thrilled to explore new sights and scents by your side. Pocahontas has a playful spirit that’s both charming and contagious - she finds even the simplest things very interesting, and it’s easy to capture that same joy and curiosity while with her. Overall, Pocahontas has so much love and happiness to give. She’s far too sweet and gentle to spend her days in a shelter when what she really deserves is to be in a loving home, knowing the security and love of her forever family. Give her that, and Pocahontas will be your devoted companion for life. Story
I rescued Zara in Tennessee. She had been running about. Guessed age 1-3 years but she was definitely a puppy. She grew a lot and had puppy behaviors. She had separation anxiety and hated being crated. She can crate now if it s the right cage and anchored so she can not move it. Cage no longer than 3-4 hours. She does well in outdoor kennel for up to 8 hours but again it has to be inescapable. She adores children and her people. Loves people more than dogs but she does play well with those closer to her size. She’s a Velcro dog. She will not be happy if left alone too often. Very smart but will need consistent boundaries or she will lean toward being dominant. She responds better to praise than loud or physical forcing. She now will stay in yard or very close at neighbors WHILE I’m home. You can’t leave her out and go. She will look for someone who is home. Scared of thunder and fireworks. She is a love bug. Not a working dog.
