Story
Scout is an incredibly handsome 3-year-old Belgian Malinois with both brains and charm to spare. Through no fault of his own, he’s looking for a new home as his family is moving and unable to take him along. Scout is wonderful with little kids and gets along well with other dogs, making him a great addition to an active family. Like many Malinois, he is highly intelligent and thrives when given a job to do—his favorite? Chasing a ball! He is extremely ball-driven and would love a home where he can play, train, and stay engaged both mentally and physically. Scout needs an adopter with prior experience handling large-breed working dogs who understands the needs of his breed. He requires significant daily exercise and stimulation to stay happy and well-balanced, so he’s best suited for an active home that can keep up with his high energy. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic companion who will be your adventure partner and best friend, Scout is your guy. ##2718823##

Story
1.5 year old Belgian Malinois. Is my uncle’s dog but he can’t take care of it. Had a dog trainer come over a few times to try and help train her, but still isn’t very well taught yet. Barks and jumps on people. Recommend someone with a lot of patience and time to help her, plus a big yard. We want her to go to someone who’s able to give her a loving home and to train her well.

Story
Major Mally is an all-around amazing boy! Smart is an understatement; he is very easy to train and likes to please! He knows heel (leash walking), a stop command, off, touch, sit, and down. Major is reported to be house-trained and to have previously lived with other dogs with no issue. He is playful and funny with children, but at 80 pounds, he can knock little ones over just because he's not aware of his size. Major would thrive with an active person/family. He is the perfect running/walking partner & playmate. He would excel at agility, dock diving, etc, as he is so smart & eager to please, but not hyper like a purebred Belgian Shepherd. The best of both worlds! Major is 3 years old & 80lbs. If you'd like to find out more about making this gorgeous pup a member of your family & to see whether (s)he would be a good fit in your home, please fill out our adoption form here: https://airtable.com/shrlL2pbqSGTRJiyc *If you live in rented accommodation, please familiarise yourself with the property management's pet policy. Our adoption fee covers an initial comprehensive veterinary examination, age-appropriate vaccinations, a heartworm test, (for dogs > 12 months), parasite screening with treatment if needed, flea/tick treatment if needed, microchip, spay/neuter, heartworm preventative medication, (for dogs > 3 months) plus any other medication or treatment needed up until the day they are adopted. *The breed mixes listed are an educated guess, based on both temperament and appearance*

Story
Kona is a very handsome dog and his personality is awesome! He's fun, energetic & loves to play, but at the same time he is extremely smart, loyal, loving, protective & affectionate. Kona has been highly trained by professionals & therefore listens well to commands & instructions.Kona was purchased from a professional breeder out of Alabama & he will be 5 years old in December of 2026. This is one of the hardest decisions in our lives. We love Kona so much, but where we're moving is not ideal for Kona to thrive, so finding the right home so he is happy is essential. We're looking for a home where Kona will get ample attention, exercise. activity, love & affection. A home with a good size backyard would be ideal and also for his new family to take him out to the park to play ball or go on trail walks is what Kona is accustomed to and what he loves.Although Kona likes to be active, he can also just lay around relax & be chill & also cuddle. When we meet, we will share much more abut Kona.

Story
Dogmeat is an approximately 10 month old Belgian Malinois. She was found by a client of mine underweight, severely dehydrated, filthy, and flea infested. She appeared to have been living outdoors. She is out of her stray hold, has been vetted, chipped, and has been steadily gaining weight and strength. We’ve also been working on socialization and manners. Despite her unfortunate beginnings, Dogmeat has a phenomenal, exemplary temperament for her breed. She is human and dog social, highly food motivated, high prey drive, and moderate hunt drive. She is affectionate, confident, and biddable. She has not been evaluated for bite work. She would excel as a sport prospect or active companion. BREED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.

Story
Sayde is a 2½-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix weighing about 60 lbs. She is a bright, driven, and incredibly energetic companion ready for the right home. She came into rescue pregnant and gave birth to nine healthy puppies, proving to be an attentive and loving mom, and now it’s her turn to be the center of attention. Sayde absolutely loves to play fetch—be prepared, because she will happily wear your arm out—and she has a blast playing in water from a garden hose. She’s very affectionate, loves giving hugs, and would gladly sleep in bed with you if allowed, though she’s also perfectly content resting in an open crate or on a large dog bed when asked. True to her intelligent working-breed nature, she quickly learned how to use a dog door and thrives on mental and physical activity. Sayde will do best with an experienced owner who understands the needs of high-energy working breeds and can provide consistent structure, training, and daily exercise. She is not a beginner-friendly dog, but with the right guidance, she has the potential to excel in training, dog sports, or as a devoted companion. Due to her energy level and herding instincts, any children in the home should be over the age of 10 and able to interact appropriately. If you’re looking for a loyal, smart, and high-drive partner, Sayde could be the perfect fit. Sayde is currently undergoing treatments for heartworm disease. Until he has completed his treatments and is fully recovered, Sayde is available for adoption only in the Atlanta area; He must be able to come to Furkids' shelter for treatments. Sayde currently weighs about 60lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 11/25/2023), and his adoption fee is $315. Sayde has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Sayde, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet Artemis Artemis is a young female GSD with a big brain, an even bigger heart, and the kind of loyalty that makes German Shepherd people fall in love with the breed. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be part of your world. Car ride? She’s in. Gardening outside for hours? She’ll supervise and “help.” Relaxing on the couch? Expect her to curl up close—preferably with your arm touching her while she sleeps. One of the sweetest things about Artemis is how gentle and observant she is. She seems fascinated by kids and quietly watches them like she’s trying to understand their tiny human ways. She showed zero reaction being close to a cat—no barking, lunging, or excitement—just curiosity and a look that seemed to ask, “Okay… what’s the protocol here?” She also handled six barking Chihuahuas rushing the fence with complete composure: walked over politely, said hello, and moved on. Artemis is housebroken and settles in a crate, but she clearly prefers being with her people and isn’t a fan of being left alone in one. She’ll need continued crate confidence and structure in her new home. She is incredibly intelligent and adapts beautifully to new situations. While she hasn’t had much formal training, she is attentive, eager to learn, and picks things up quickly. Whoever had her before may have loved the “cute puppy” stage and skipped the boundaries stage—so she can get excited with jumping, licking, and enthusiastic affection. But she responds well to guidance and has so much potential. She absolutely shines when given something to do. Frisbee? Yes. Balls? Absolutely. Fetch? Her favorite. She loves being outside and would thrive with an active family who enjoys adventures, training, hiking, games, or dog sports. Honestly, Artemis feels like the kind of dog who could excel in advanced obedience, scent work, agility, or athletic competitions with the right person to channel all that intelligence. She can be a little particular about food (perhaps she previously enjoyed the finer things in life), but adding canned food quickly won her over—she may just be more of a grazer than a gobbler. Because of her enthusiasm and size, training will be important if she joins a family with young kids—but her gentle handling and tolerant nature suggest she has all the ingredients to become an incredible family companion. Artemis isn’t looking for perfection—just someone willing to teach her what she’s never been shown before. In return, she looks ready to give her whole heart.         ##2730346##
