Story
Olive aka "Olive Roo" because she resembles a Kangaroo is 4 years old and ~25lbs. Olive has a very chill temperament, gets along with other dogs, looks out for the children, likes to be outside to play and walk. She's very much a lady and gets embarrassed and turns her back when she uses the potty and she sees you cleaning it up. Olive likes to cuddle and loves extra treats in the evening before bed. In Olive's new home, she can be the only dog or a part of a pack of furry friends.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.THOR and his brother Loki were found abandoned alongside a rural highway.Temperament/Behavior:Thor is a sweet boy with typical puppy behaviors. He is still scared/cautious of loud noises, sudden unexpected movements, new people and new situations.People:He loves his people but takes a little longer with men, he loves pets and snuggles and toys. He is still learning boundaries and jumps on people when he gets excited. Families with young children would need monitoring as he is a high energy puppy.Training:He will still have accidents if he is not monitored, but if you watch for his signals he does not (we are working on using the bells on the door for notification, but since he is skittish it is a work in progress). He is kennel trained and typically does not have accidents in the kennel. He knows sit, kennel and sit to wait for food. He is a puppy so trying to eat everything outside but is easily redirectable. He is working on recall. He is learning to walk on a leash and making great progress.Pets:He is dog friendly but will need slower introductions for the other dog because he is a puppy and may jump or be too excited. He has not been cat tested.Medical:There are no current medical needsFun Facts:He is incredibly smart. He sleeps in a kennel at night and stays in one during the day with no issues. Thor has a lot of energy and will definitely need an adopter willing to both exercise him and mentallystimulate him through activities.     If you're looking for a gorgeous, young, trainable furballwho will love you forever,Thor may be your ideal family member! THOR'S ADOPTION FEE: $400This fee covers only part of what we spend to vet, board and rehab the dogs we save. On average we spend over $450 on each dog. We made a decision to keep our adoption fee at the 2005 level even though vet prices have doubled and tripled since then. We are constantly fundraising to cover the deficit. At minimum, your adoption fee includes the dog's spay/neuter, heartworm test, heartworm treatment if needed, rabies shot, distemper/parvo shot, bordatella shot, deworming, monthly heartworm and flea preventives, and microchip. In many cases it also includes surgery and various types of vet treatment for standard issues such as hot spots, ear infections and so on.INTERESTED IN ADOPTING THOR? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.STOP!! READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO ANY FURTHER! We're picky about our adopters.  Are you sure you're up to having a GSD?  They're not for everyone.  They take a lot of time, effort, training.  They shed year round.  They're big.  They scare lots of people.  They 'mouth' and herd.  They're usually strong-willed and stubborn.  You have to have references and a home visit.  If you're not willing or able to deal with any of this, please don't waste your time or ours applying.   Will the dog be an inside family pet? We do not adopt to outdoor-only homes. All dogs must be indoor dogs. Do you leave your dog outdoors when you're not home?   We do not adopt to homes that leave their animals outside when they're gone.  You must put your dogs indoors when you're gone.  A 3 yr old adopted MOGS dog died when the owners went to run errands, left her outdoors, the gate was somehow opened, and she was hit by a car.  Tragic and 100% preventable. Even privacy fences get broken into.  Gates are opened.  Thieves steal dogs. Never leave your dog outdoors when you're not home!! What's your plan for unexpected events and major changes?  New baby? Divorce?  Moving?   How you will provide for your dog if your family breaks up?  Will you make a lifetime commitment?  It's your responsibility to keep your dog safe, loved and cared for FOR LIFE.  Do you understand we expect you to keep that lifetime commitment?  It's YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to stick by your family member -- no matter what. Story
Harley is a 6-year-old German Shepherd/Red Heeler mix who has the whole package: calm, loyal, smart, and deeply devoted to her people. She is house-trained, crate-trained, knows her commands, and settles beautifully in the home. She enjoys her daily walks, her toys, and above all, being close to her humans. A true Velcro dog, she loves nothing more than quietly sticking by your side. Harley can be a bit reserved with men and loves to protect her human. When she is feeling unsure or scared, she may bark or growl out of fear, but with slow, positive introductions, she warms up wonderfully. In her foster home, she absolutely adores her foster dad and teenage foster brother, showing just how loving and loyal she becomes once she feels safe. She gets along with other dogs and is in foster with dogs of various sizes and personalities. She may show herding instincts, so a home with older children and no cats would be best for her. Harley is available through our Foster-to-Adopt program, giving you the chance to get to know her and see just how special she is. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who will stick by your side through everything, Harley just might be your perfect match. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt. Story
Meet Lola Tung 🖤 Lola is a 5-year-old Shepherd mix weighing 65 pounds, and she’s looking for a home that appreciates everything that makes her special. Smart, athletic, and eager to engage with her people, Lola thrives when she has a job to do and someone to share adventures with. This girl is the total package when it comes to training. Lola is house-trained, crate-trained, knows her basic obedience commands, including “place,” and is highly responsive to her humans. She loves learning, loves working, and would excel in activities like agility, trick training, frisbee, or any sport that lets her use both her brain and athleticism. When playtime rolls around, Lola is all in. Chasing tennis balls and catching frisbees are among her favorite hobbies, and she has the drive and enthusiasm to keep up with an active family. Lola is well-mannered in the home. She is not destructive, settles nicely in her crate, and isn’t a nuisance barker. She may alert you when someone comes to the door, but otherwise enjoys relaxing with her people. Lola’s ideal home will understand her specific needs. She would do best as an only dog or with a playful male dog of similar size. She has successfully lived with a male dog and enjoys canine companionship in the right match. However, she should not live with female dogs. She also has a high prey drive and should not live with cats or small dogs. Lola does well with children but would be best suited for a home with kids around 8 years and older. Her enthusiasm, athleticism, and love of play can be a bit overwhelming for younger children. Like many shepherds, Lola can be somewhat reactive on walks and enjoys keeping an eye on what’s happening around her yard, but she responds well to training, structure, and leadership. Lola isn’t looking for just any home—she’s looking for the right home. In the right environment, she is a loyal, intelligent, fun-loving companion with so much to offer. Her current family loves her deeply and recognizes that she deserves a home where she can truly thrive. If you’re looking for an active, trainable, devoted best friend, Lola might just be your perfect match. Lola Tung is eligible for our foster to adopt program, meaning you can have a trial period before making it official- setting all parties up for success and a smooth transition. ----------------------------------------- If you’re interested in adopting, please apply online at mscrescue.org/adopt.
