🇺🇸🐾 Meet Liberty "Libby" 🐾🇺🇸
Liberty, lovingly called Libby, is a sweet and resilient mama Malinois whose story is nothing short of inspiring. Found just before the Fourth of July, Libby was abandoned, heavily pregnant, and desperately seeking shelter from a torrential downpour. She was discovered hiding under a shed with only a day to go before giving birth. Despite rescue efforts, there wasn't enough time to move her to a foster home before labor began. In the middle of a storm, under a trailer and surrounded by mud, Libby brought 8 beautiful puppies into the world. Through the rain, the cold, and the chaos, she never stopped protecting her babies. Covered in mud but full of love and determination, she proved herself to be an incredible mother from the very beginning. ❤️🐾
Today, Libby is safely with a foster near Spring, Texas, where she continues to devote herself to her healthy, thriving "Liberty Litter." While she is still focused on raising and weaning her puppies, her personality is already shining through. Libby is a wonderfully affectionate girl who absolutely loves people. She enjoys pets, hugs, and attention and truly seems to have never met a stranger. Whether you're family or a first-time visitor, she's ready to greet you with her sweet nature and warm heart. 🤗💕
Libby is fully house trained with no accidents in her foster home and has proven to be a respectful house guest. She doesn't chew on household items, knows basic commands, and is incredibly treat-motivated, making her a great candidate for continued training. She's also a bit of a foodie, so don't leave your dinner unattended unless you're planning to share! 🍔😂
Despite everything she's been through, Libby has maintained an easygoing and gentle temperament. She appears to thrive around teens and older children and would likely enjoy a fairly active home where she can be included in family activities. Because she is still caring for her puppies, her foster has not yet been able to fully evaluate how she does with other dogs. For now, her attention remains exactly where it belongs—on her babies. 🐶❤️
Libby is the definition of resilience, love, and loyalty. She survived abandonment, weathered a storm, and raised eight beautiful puppies against incredible odds, all while remaining sweet, trusting, and affectionate with the people around her. Available for transport within TX, OK, NM, CO, LA, and KS (adopter must meet transport at least halfway). We do prefer adopters pick up their new companion in person when possible.
