Blue Thor is a 1 to 1.5 year old, 60 lbs, German Shepherd/Husky mix found dumped with his sister Honey. He has piercing blue eyes and a soft coat. Don’t let his serious looks fool you, he’s a friendly boy! He’s currently working on leash training and has been friendly with adults, but at times he gets nervous with men. Blue Thor is working on socialization with dogs, but he is still rather fear responsive when meeting other males. He has made progress with socializing with my male dog Dexter, but it has taken a good 4 months to help him settle in with Dexter, there have been some rough spots with aggression where I had to separate them. But this has been gradually improving. Thor will need an experienced pet owner educated with training. Yelling and hitting dogs just teaches them to be afraid of you. He would be good with other female dogs as he has not shown aggression with females. Even though there has been much improvement w/ socializing with Dexter I still do not leave them unattended for very long. Again, training for both would be ideal, he s a loving affectionate dog with me . He is fond or partial to women it has been women that had been leaving food and water for him for months. Be patient and go slow with men,. He has become friends with my daughters boyfriend and did not take very long. Again he and his human would benefit from professional training, he is very smart and wants to please me but done not know how to do that yet. He loves to play with his toys, go for walks. He is doing great with the gentle lead and is now walking with a much less pull on the leash He has been great with children he’s met at events so far, but no cats at this time since he wants to chase them. Honey is a 1 year old, 49 lbs, German Shepherd mix who is very sweet and loves to be petted. She has a light brown soft coat with a beautiful face. Honey has been friendly with me while leaving food for her and her sibling for over two months before I earned her and her brother's trust to pick them up. Unknown if she gets along with children or cats currently. She is working on leash training and that is going very well. Am currently working on socialization with dogs and people, its a work in progress. But once she gets to know you she is sweet as can be. Honey is potty trained and large crate trained. Three-year old Justice is an extremely loving and loyal pup, who is hungry for love and longing for an adopter to bond with. Justice is extremely smart and soulful. He is very obedient and eager to please. He is great with commands. He is also very intelligent and very low maintenance. He prefers laying at your feet or sitting with you more than anything. When he’s active, Justice loves playing fetch, his favorite game! A fully fenced yard will be a great inclusion in his life. Justice is good with both dogs and cats. Actually, he has had many dog and cat foster siblings and has always gotten along with all of them. We do not know how he is with kids as he has never lived with children. But he is big, so he can knock them down. Therefore we prefer a home without young kids. Justice weighs 75 lbs, and is fully vaccinated for 3 years, neutered, and microchipped. Justice has completed 6 months of board and train, and his trainer will offer complimentary training for life now, either in person or by facetime or video chat. He is a great pup, full of love. He is comfortable around people, and loves car rides. He needs a strong parent who he can look up to, and he will be the best child forever. Donner is a 3 yo full blooded German Shepherd who needs an experienced German Shepherd handler and forever home. He will do great with a job, preferably in the Police department or as a service animal. He needs a male adopter who speaks Spanish, because he bonds with Hispanic males. Donner is extremely loyal, sensitive, crate trained and housebroken. He loves to play fetch and will love a home with a fully fenced yard, where he gets playtime with his foster or furever parents. 2 yr old Rocky is an intelligent and docile boy. He is a gentle giant. He is a happy-go-lucky boy who learns commands fast. He came from a home with many dogs and has never had any issue with them. In his current home, he has been kept separated from his foster brother who is reactive to other dogs, but he sees them through the gate and never once barks. Rocky is little timid in new situations. He loves car rides. He is excellent with children. He loves for the neighborhood kids to pet him. He is so polite and never jumps on anyone. Rocky is potty-trained and crate trained, although he is rarely crated, since he is very perfect outside a crate. During the freeze, he was patient about going out, and never once demanded to be taken out. He is a really sweet and tolerant pup. Rocky likes to run around in the backyard but once he is inside the house, he loves to lay on his foster parents’ bed or on the couch to feel closed to his humans. His foster dad says that he is the perfect dog. Rocky is 80 lb, neutered, is microchipped and is on heartworm and flea prevention. He can travel to most states and Canada for the right home. A fully fenced yard is mandatory for our dogs. Rocky is a flexible dog and lives to make his human happy. Rescue story: Rocky's owners always used to leave him outside and he would come up to the neighbor's home. Finally they moved and did not take Rocky with them. His neighbor took him in and is fostering him.

Gorgeous girl Greta is a 2 yr old German Shepherd pup who was abandoned by her previous owners in an affluent neighborhood of Houston. She was found by one of our team member's attorneys who then surrendered her to our rescue. Greta is highly intelligent, and extremely loving big baby, who loves to have zoomies, and occasionally bark at people passing by their yard. She is also very obedient, housebroken, and easily trainable. She loves car rides. Greta has been temper tested with dogs and she did wonderful. She has not shown any reactivity to dogs. She has not yet been tested around cats. She loves humans and will snuggle with them at any given chance. However, she does not jump on them, and is very polite when she meets strangers. Greta is 2 yo, currently weighs 67 lbs, fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped. and heartworm negative. She is kept on heartworm and flea preventative. She is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to many states and even Canada. Ty is a purebred Belgian melon Wah puppy, who came to us from a small shelter in the Houston area. He has all his three rounds of puppy vaccinations and has been neutered and micro chipped. He is heartworm negative and is on heartworm prevention. He weighs around 60 pounds and is 8 1/2 to 9 months old. He is extremely friendly and loves other dogs. His current foster family has one cat who he doesn’t seem reactive with, but would need to be more thoroughly tested with cats. he is extremely friendly with all people, but is very active as a young malinois and could knock over small children. Meet Lucy Lucy is a 1.5-2 year old Belgian Malinois. She came to us from an area high kill shelter and was on death row. Once we met her we fell in love with this gorgeous sweet girl and took her into our rescue group. She is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Lucy is an amazing, sweet girl with moderate energy/drive. She will do best with an owner who has experience with Malinois and GSDs and in positive dog training. She is crate and potty trained. You must be approved to adopt through our group before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. Please note that this is a volunteer based group and NOT a SHELTER. Most of our dogs are in foster homes. There may be delays in application processing answering emails etc. because we all have demanding full time jobs, families, and foster dogs/puppies to care for. please email savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application.
