4 yo Belgian malinois mix Maddox and her 2 year old malinois sister Mel lost their parents, their homes, and siblings to divorce and overnight, her world collapsed. Maddox is a super sweet, almost perfect pup. She is good with dogs, cats, and kids. She lives with dogs, a kitty, and two small children, and gets along with everyone. She does love to play fetch, but mostly she is very quiet for her breed, and prefers chilling with her foster family, than play with her doggie foster siblings. Maddox tends to be a bit more reserved and enjoys her own quiet space. Maddox is housebroken, crate trained and very affectionate and better suited as a companion than a high-drive working dog. Maddox weighs 60 lb and is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, heartworm negative and kept on proheart 12. She loves to sunbathe, and snuggle. The sudden change in their situation has been very stressful to Maddox, so we would definitely like to find her a home where she gets lot of love, and affection. Maddox is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. Mia is a 6-month-old Belgian Malinois puppy who is as sweet and smart as they come. She has a gentle, loving nature and truly adores people. Mia is friendly with everyone she meets, wonderful with children, and gets along beautifully with other dogs. She is curious about cats (as many puppies are!) and would do well with proper training and guidance around them. Mia is very smart and eager to learn, making her a joy to train. She’s affectionate, loyal, and ready to bond deeply with her forever family. Whether she’s playing, learning something new, or cuddling with her humans, Mia’s loving personality shines through. Mia used to be a lonely puppy in an apartment (see video), entertaining herself while her former parent was gone for work 12 hours a day. Fortunately, her former parent knew a rescue vet who coaxed him to surrender her to our rescue so that she could have a proper life and find home where she can thrive. Therefore, Mia is looking for the perfect home, in Texas or anywhere in the States and even in Canada. Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. She is fully vetted, spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and kept on heartworm and flea prevention. Mia currently weighs about 40 lbs and is still growing into her paws and her big heart. Mia is ready for her forever home — a family who will love her, guide her, and give her the life she deserves. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Duke is a striking Malinois/Shepherd mix with a playful spirit and a loyal heart. This spunky boy is the perfect match for an active home that can keep up with his energy and love for adventure. Duke thrives with human interaction and lights up when playing with his canine foster siblings - especially if there's a ball involved! He's absolutely ball-obsessed and will happily chase and pounce like a pro. He loves attention and always wants to be part of the action. He isn't a fan of raised voices, though, so a calm but active environment suits him best. Duke may be a working breed, but he is also a world-class cuddler! He's doing great with basic obedience training and walks well on a leash (although he's still learning how not to weave!). Duke is remarkably smart, but consistent with his breeds he's also a bit stubborn, so he'll do best with someone who's confident, patient, and consistent. He's happy-go-lucky in his foster home and learning to be brave in new environments. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and rides like a dream in the car! Duke does well with other dogs and would benefit from continued structure and enrichment. He is neutered and UTD on vaccines.
