Story
Ty is a purebred Belgian melon Wah puppy, who came to us from a small shelter in the Houston area. He has all his three rounds of puppy vaccinations and has been neutered and micro chipped. He is heartworm negative and is on heartworm prevention. He weighs around 60 pounds and is 8 1/2 to 9 months old. He is extremely friendly and loves other dogs. His current foster family has one cat who he doesn’t seem reactive with, but would need to be more thoroughly tested with cats. he is extremely friendly with all people, but is very active as a young malinois and could knock over small children. He definitely needs an experienced handler and will need basic obedience training. He is crate trained. Please contact savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application. We require an adoption application before scheduling any meet and greets.

Story
Meet Lucy Lucy is a 1.5-2 year old Belgian Malinois. She came to us from an area high kill shelter and was on death row. Once we met her we fell in love with this gorgeous sweet girl and took her into our rescue group. She is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. Lucy is an amazing, sweet girl with moderate energy/drive. She will do best with an owner who has experience with Malinois and GSDs and in positive dog training. She is crate and potty trained. You must be approved to adopt through our group before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. Please note that this is a volunteer based group and NOT a SHELTER. Most of our dogs are in foster homes. There may be delays in application processing answering emails etc. because we all have demanding full time jobs, families, and foster dogs/puppies to care for. please email savapetwac@yahoo.com for an application. We require an application before meeting any of our adoptable dogs. The adoption fee is $200. Tax deductible

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Coordinator: Dana MacLeanBridget came from a hoarding situation and is adjusting to a better life. Bridget loves to play with other dogs. She is shy and sweet. Requires 6ft fenced yard or to be on leash. Recommend escape proof harness and a no slip collar when on leash. She prefers to be out of her kennel but will go in with direction. she has shown mild interest in toys so far but may show more in a quieter home. She would love to have another dog to play with that is her size or bigger. No small children, small dogs or cats. she needs an adopter with patience that will give her structure and love. 2/2023 Update:  Bridget is doing amazing in her foster home.  She is starting to come alive as the trauma from years of neglect and abuse fade from her memory.  She loves to play with other dogs and is starting to come to her foster for attention.  She has a gentle sense of humor.  She is crate trained and house trained.   To submit an adoption application for Bridget, please click on the following link: https://malinoisrescue.org/forms/form?formid=6574 For questions on Bridget contact Dana at Kymalinoisrescue@protonmail.com  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.ABMR thanks you for taking the time to look at our malinois available for adoption.  March 27, 2024, 10:51 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ____________________________________________________________ Hedy Barton and Marcia ToksonRoxie – 3-Year Old Female Malinois in Connecticut   Roxie is looking for an adoptive home or a foster to adopt home.  She is a 3-year old female who will be spayed in her foster home.  She is up to date on her shots and heartworm negative.    Roxie is a big, active girl and weighs about 55 pounds.  She is exuberant and needs to learn manners.  She is housebroken and apparently good in the apartment of her owner when left alone.   Roxie is friendly with people and children (ages 10 and up only as she is big and bouncy) .  She has been tested several dogs – male and female – and has always been reactive.  For this reason, Roxie must go to a home where she is the only pet.  The foster or adoptive home would be encouraged to work with her on her interactions with male dogs her own size as it is possible that she may improve with careful exposure.  Roxie also has high prey drive for squirrels and small animals so cannot be placed in a home with cats or small animals.    She is an active girl who benefits from hour-long walks and exercise. She loves car rides and can be left in the car without tearing anything up or getting into trouble.  She settles calmly in the house and likes balls, sticks and tug, but I would not call her a dog with super-high ball drive.  She is not noise sensitive and appears to have good nerves.  Roxie would do best in a home with a large, fenced yard, or with a person who will exercise with daily walks and runs, being cognizant that she may be aggressive with female dogs and small dogs.  (There is some feeling that this issue may be tempered and/or resolved when she is spayed but we cannot assume that this will be the case.)   We also do NOT know if Roxie can be crated as the person who has her now has never tried acclimating her to a crate.  Roxie appears to be a good girl who is attached to the person who is currently caring for her and does try to please.  She needs careful oversight in her interactions with other dogs as well as guidance; training and eventual placement.   A photo and a video are included. Can you give this girl a chance to develop her full potential as a loving companion? Time is of the essence for Roxie as it is uncertain as to how much longer her current home can keep her.   If you would like to help give Roxie a chance by fostering her, please contact Hedy Barton (HedyL@aol.com). Good with dogs, Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Three-year old Justice is an extremely loving and loyal pup, who is hungry for love and longing for an adopter to bond with. Justice is extremely smart and soulful. He is very obedient and eager to please. He is great with commands. He is also very intelligent and very low maintenance. He prefers laying at your feet or sitting with you more than anything. When he’s active, Justice loves playing fetch, his favorite game! A fully fenced yard will be a great inclusion in his life. Justice is good with both dogs and cats. Actually, he has had many dog and cat foster siblings and has always gotten along with all of them. We do not know how he is with kids as he has never lived with children. But he is big, so he can knock them down. Therefore we prefer a home without young kids. Justice weighs 75 lbs, and is fully vaccinated for 3 years, neutered, and microchipped. Justice has completed 6 months of board and train, and his trainer will offer complimentary training for life now, either in person or by facetime or video chat. He is a great pup, full of love. He is comfortable around people, and loves car rides. He needs a strong parent who he can look up to, and he will be the best child forever. To meet this lovely boy, please send an application via savesomesouls.com or email savesomesoulsrescue@gmail.com

Donner is fully vaccinated, neutered, chipped and heartworm negative. He is 80 lb. He has not lived around cats but he is fine with dogs and plays well with them. Story
10 months old Iris is a sweet and shy girl. She is social with dogs of any size but takes her time to approach new people. Iris loves retrieving balls and likes to run around in the backyard with her sister Ines and her other foster siblings. Iris likes meeting new dogs, but can be shy with some dogs who are too energetic with her. She likes friendly dogs who aren’t in your face. She is Good with children. Her foster mom brings her granddaughters age 3 and 6 to her home every day. Iris hasn’t been cat-tested and doesn’t live with any cats but she doesn’t run after the outdoor cats that live in her neighborhood. Iris is potty-trained. Her foster mom doesn’t like to crate but Iris has traveled in crates to the vet and to the park and she doesn’t complain about this. Iris is on the chill side. Her foster mom walks once every couple of days. Iris releases her energy by doing zoomies in the backyard with her sister Ines and other dog friends. Iris needs more leash-training. She doesn’t pull but isn’t used at the leash yet. She knows “sit” in Spanish but would benefit from learning more commands such as “give paws”, “stay”, “come.” She is a very cuddly dog but would benefit from socialization with new dogs and people. Iris currently weighs about 42 Lbs and will grow up to become a medium sized dog. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, chipped, and heartworm negative. She is kept on preventatives. She can travel to many states and Canada for the right home. Iris would be happy in a home where she can have a doggie sibling (boy or girl) because she is used to hanging out with more than 4 dogs at the same time. She would do well with young children who are gentle with her and who can get her stimulated by playing ball with her. She is very intelligent and would do great with a family that can get her out on car rides or on hikes to parks and/or beaches. Rescue story: Iris was found living with her family (her sister Ines, brother Andy, and mom April) at 4 months of age under an abandoned house. Sadly, the neighbors in this area mistreated dogs. Iris wasn’t welcome there and had to hide under that house and could only come out at night. Fortunately, her foster mom spotted this little family and got them safe. Her brother Andy passed away 2 days after he arrived to the foster home because he was severely malnourished. Iris, her mom, and sister Ines were also very skinny but were able to gain strength thanks to their foster mom. In a few months, Iris was able to grow into a beautiful and curious dog. To adopt Iris, please send an application via savesomesouls.com Yards must be fully fenced to adopt our pups.
