Meet Nakia, a real sweetheart of a dog! This cuddly and gentle soul embodies love with every playful leap and affectionate kiss. Curious and smart, Nakia loves to explore and learn new tricks, though she still needs a bit of training. She knows the sit, stay, come, no, down, and off commands but she was given up because her owners were not able to completely house train her. She is crate trained though. She also needs help with leash walking and controlling her resource guarding around other dogs. Her energetic spirit makes her the perfect companion for adventures, yet she`s just as happy being a loving lap dog, offering cuddles and comfort. She weighs 29 pounds and likes running, tugging, toys, and walks. She is definitely a social butterfly but while she is submissive and friendly with most dogs she is also rough. She was recently returned for her behavior with the existing dog in the home so if you have a dog you`ll need to bring it to meet her to be sure they are compatible. She`s playful and submissive with children but uses her mouth during play. She doesn`t like cats. One of Hollie's favorite places to be is in the car—she's the ultimate passenger princess and happily rides shotgun wherever life takes you. She also loves a good game of tug-of-war and will enthusiastically chase after a ball (bringing it back is optional, according to Hollie!). Bosch is a good dog and friendly. He would welcome being a lap dog most nights but does spend most of his time on the floor. He always likes being in the room with his owner and will constantly move to be close by. He is scared of fireworks and thunderstorms. Bosch has been side by side with his brother, Sisco since birth and they have stayed in our yard all their life other than trips to the vet for annual checks ins. This makes them both quite territorial and they have the odd fight over food or a toy. As Bosch has aged we have noticed he is quicker to become aggressive to Sisco so we recently started him on Prozac just to keep him calm and that has worked very well. We noticed he is much less worried about fireworks or storms as a result. We are in a life stage where we are looking to relocate to an apartment as part of a downsizing in the Spring. We would like to find homes for both Bosch and Sisco, so we are posting in case a family is interested.
