Blu is a sweet loving boy. Loves to be at home and just relax. Enjoys good walks around the block. He does tend to be more scared when coming around new people. Would prefer someone with no kids and no pets in home. Someone who is patience in getting his trust as he has experience stress when there is new people around.

Story
Moose is a sweet and goofy dog. He is approximately 2 years old. He is super food motivated and therefore very trainable despite having a tough start at life. His previous owner rescued him when he was a puppy who was being abused and then running as a street dog in Texas and brought him to Colorado to rehome him. He and my other dog have not been getting along well enough for him to stay with me. Moose would likely be okay with a more submissive dog, but my other dog isn't a good fit for him. Moose is great with people, has been good with older kids (I dont know how he would be with infants or toddlers as I haven't had the opportunity to try him with any). Moose is also good with my cats. He is great on a leash but defensive with other dogs when on one. He is also a notorious counter surfer and will need someone who is good about putting food away. He is neutered, up to date on shots, has a year's supply of heartworm prevention, and had a negative heartworm test in April.

Story
Meet Celestite and Citrine, two male puppies named after sparkling geodes — and they’re just as special as their names. These boys are a unique mix of Mini Bernedoodle and Mini Australian Shepherd, giving them the perfect blend of intelligence, sweetness, and fluffy charm. They’re young, social, and learning the world with curiosity and confidence. Each pup has his own personality and needs, but both are ready to bring joy, companionship, and a little sparkle to their forever homes. Celestite is our little gemstone — a soft, sweet, mostlywhite pup with a gentle spirit and a heart full of trust. He is deaf and mostly blind, but he navigates the world beautifully using touch, scent, routine, and the comfort of people he loves. Celestite is calm, cuddly, and incredibly resilient. He bonds deeply and thrives with predictable structure, gentle handling, and a home ready to help him learn safely. He’s looking for a patient adopter who understands specialneeds dogs or is willing to learn. In return, Celestite will give you the kind of love that feels like magic — steady, pure, and full of heart. If you're interested in adopting me, please fill out an application at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. You can also reserve an appointment to meet me. Story
Teddy, Australian Shepherd/Newfoundland mix, 2 yr., 57 lbs., Teddy is friendly, happy, energetic and ready for an active life. He needs someone willing to work with him. Teddy loves water and plays in his pool. We are working on leash training and sitting on command. He’s smart and anxious to learn. He loves other dogs and wants to play hard but is also respectful of them. He’s got long thick hair so he will need professional grooming several times a year. Teddy must have a home with another young dog about his size and someone home most of the time. No cats. Teddy was a stray and extremely thin. If you’re interested in Teddy please call Cindy 970-353-1385
