Story
Meet Sully — a charming, family-friendly gentle giant who's a lover through and through. He's a big, fluffy teddy bear, literally, and he's as gentle and sweet as he looks. Sully loves to be loved on, and he's people-motivated to the core — he just wants to be wherever you are. He comes when called or whenever he hears his people, and he'll sit for a jerky treat. He's potty trained, leash trained, and crate trained, doesn't bark, and doesn't get into things he shouldn't. An easy, easy companion. His favorite spot is the cold floor with the A/C on. No bed needed — he says they're too hot anyway. Sully is a committed couch potato who doesn't care for the heat, doesn't want to be outside in it for more than two minutes, and isn't one for much exercise. He's an all-around chill guy who's easy to manage. He's good with other dogs, too. He doesn't care to play, but he's friendly and relaxed around them. One honest heads-up: there's drool. Lots of it. If you want a calm, affectionate companion who just wants people to love on, Sully is your guy. Interested in learning more and making Sully a part of your family? Story
Nathan is the “N” in our R-S-T-L-N-E & A Wheel of Fortune litter. They were born on April 29, just one day after their mom, Vanna, was rescued—talk about perfect timing! Nathan is approximately 27 pounds and one of the biggest pups in the litter. His mama is a Great Pyrenees mix, and Dad is still MIA—but based on Nathan’s unmistakable markings, we’re spinning the wheel and guessing there may be some Rottweiler in his family tree! He is a happy, playful, and affectionate pup who looooves people. He has been raised in a loving foster home since he was born, where he has been learning house training, crate training, leash walking, and all the important skills needed to become a wonderful family companion. One thing that we've noticed is that this boy looooves his sticks! Wherever he's at, he always manages to find a nice big stick to chew on. Nathan is well-socialized with other dogs, older children, and even cats. His ideal home would have someone home more often than not to continue their training and socialization. A fenced yard is a bonus, but he could also do well in an apartment with adequate daily exercise and enrichment. He would love a canine companion to play with but would also thrive with an active family committed to helping him grow into a confident, well-mannered adult. Now all that's left is for him to solve the biggest puzzle of all: Who will be his forever family?  Don’t leave Nathan hanging in “the bonus round”! His perfect family could be YOU! If you’re looking for a sweet, social puppy ready to bring years of love and laughter to your family, Nathan could be the perfect match!   To meet Nathan in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. Story
Meet Lainey— the sweet star of the “Western Singer Sisters” trio, rescued from a rural area east of Dallas and now ready to trade survival mode for the good life! At just 8 months old and 47 pounds, Lainey is already proving she’s the full package: beauty, brains, and a little bit of Pyrenees-style opinionated charm. This Great Pyrenees/Brittany mix is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and has quickly mastered the important puppy priorities: playing hard, eating enthusiastically, and napping like a professional. Lainey absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion to continue teaching her the ropes. She’s happiest when she has room to stretch her legs, people around who adore her, and a comfy spot to crash after a busy day of puppy adventures. She is also kid-friendly and likely cat-friendly too (she may just need a little time to warm up to her feline friends). If you’re searching for a loyal sidekick with movie-star looks, a brilliant mind, and just enough sass to keep life entertaining, Lainey may be your perfect match. Ready to meet this natural beauty? Story
Rose is a 5 year old 85 pound gorgeous calm & sweet Great Pyrenees/Cattle Dog mix (best guess!).  She is happy and healthy and would love a home with an owner willing to take her on 2+ daily walks.  if you are looking for a dog who enjoys helping you get your steps in Rose is your girl!   A home with a fenced yard & owner who is home a lot who looks forward to spending time together is ideal. Rose would do great in a family with older kids who dote on her or no kids at all is perfect, too.   She likes to hang with her people whomever that might be.  From her foster mom, "Best Dog!". She just celebrated her 5th birthday! We think **Rose will be happiest in a calm home environment and as an only dog as she can be dog selective.   To meet Rose in person go to www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online application today!
