Story
Meet Daphne! This beautiful young Great Pyrenees mix came into our program with her brother, Flint, and sister, Wilma, after being dumped along a country road.  She has recently discovered toys and loves to play with them and dig through the toy box. Daphne is slow to warm up but she has come a long way in her loving foster home. She lives with 3 resident dogs and another foster, Biscuit, who is also available for adoption.  Her foster family is working on leash training and crate training. She is not a fan of the crate but she is not a destructive girl so she may not need to be crated anyway.  Daphne has been spayed, heartworm tested and is current on all vaccinations. All she needs now is a loving forever home! Could it be yours??To meet Daphne in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application.  ADOPTION FEE Covers: Core vaccines plus Lepto and Flu, all boosters, microchip, dewormer until clear fecal test & spay or neuter when completed by a DSDA vet partner plus any necessary medical care.  All dogs are on flea, tick and heartworm prevention and you receive the following month's preventatives complementary with your adoption!  * Adoption Fees: Puppies (12 months and under) - $325  Dogs (over 12 months) - $275  Qualifications for Adoption:  No dog is alike and each dog has different requirements based on breed, age, energy level and life experiences. DSDA is very careful to place our dogs in homes that we believe are the best fit for the dog based on our experience with each dog. All of our dogs live in foster homes which allows us the opportunity to learn about their individual needs.  Must be home more than not. Vet checks are required! All resident pets in the applicant's home MUST be spayed or neutered, core vaccines up to date and dogs on heartworm prevention to be considered! No exceptions.  Must be 21 years or older with identification showing present address. Must have the knowledge and consent of all adults living in the household. Must receive proof of pet deposit and lease allowing pets if renting. Willingness and capacity to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and responsible care for a pet. Must have a secure fence if in a house. All poisonous plants must be removed from the yard.  DSDA is located in Dallas and requires a home visit on every adoption so only adopt to Dallas and surrounding areas. ##2190735##

Meet Opal — a total showstopper with a heart just as beautiful as her looks    At 4½ years old and 75 lbs, this Great Pyrenees mix is the perfect blend of calm, loyal, and loving. Opal is fully house trained, has wonderful manners, and is a dream companion whether you’re heading out for a drive or enjoying a peaceful walk—she’s great in the car and on a leash!   Opal absolutely adores the indoor life. Her happiest moments are spent right by your side—curled up on the couch, soaking in the warmth of a cozy fire, or staying cool in the AC during those hot summer days. She’s not just a dog… she’s a companion.   Her perfect home? One with a fenced yard where she can stretch her legs, and a person or family who is home often—because Opal thrives on being part of your everyday life. While she gets along with other dogs, she would truly shine as your one and only “princess,” soaking up all the love and attention she deserves.   If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key best friend who will fill your home with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love—Opal is waiting for you.   To meet Opal in person visit us at www.dsda.org/adopt and submit our online adoption application. Story
Quinny was on death's door at a local shelter due to space and few adoptions. She is a big goof and so loveable! She weighs 70 lbs and about a year old if not younger. She is a bit shy but warms up quickly. She would love a doggy playmate to show her the ropes and to be her play partner. She is great with cats, too. She seems mesmorized with them as she just watches them. She is 100% sweet says her foster and extremly loving. She is good with dogs and cats. She would be best with younger ones though. She needs to be able to play. She is gentle with them but "gots to play". She loves to play outside and has certainly loves this weather! She will be leash trained and she is definitely potty trained. She is so beautiful and just as sweet. Applications for Quinny are at codysfriendsrescue.org to foster or adopt ##2642111##

Story
The Trailblazers were just rescued from the side of the road!  We are deteremined to show them that they have a bright future ahead.  Stay tuned as we get to know them better and update their profiles.  They DESERVE a better life than what they have had so far. Little Ri-Ri is only a tiny bit bigger than sister Milli. She's a shy little girl right now, still trying to learn to trust, but when she thinks no one is watching she jumps into the puppy pile! She's gonna be quite the cuddle bug once she finally feels safe and loved. Cody's adopts dogs in the greater DFW area and does not adopt puppies under the age of 6 months into apartment homes.   https://bit.ly/codys_adoption_application. ##2687713##
