Story
Animal Profile: Charlie is an estimated 4- to 5-year-old Lab Great Pyrenees mix (DNA confirmed) who was taken in by a good samaritan after she was abandoned at a property when her "owners" moved away. She was an under socialized, underweight, fearful outdoor dog but showed great resilience and capacity to bond and love with her new caretaker. She is now healthy, vetted, and ready to find a family to call her own. Charlie has been very receptive to training and currently lives with 5- and 9-year-old boys who she adores and two other dogs who have helped her learn the ropes. Though Charlie enjoys the company of children and is friendly meeting them, we will be seeking a home with adults or older, dog-savvy children due to resource guarding behaviors stemming from her history of abandonment and breed tendencies that will need management in a home environment. Charlie should be fed in her crate and high-value objects should not be taken from her without warning/command or she can be protective of her resources (growling/snapping). She has made great strides in this department and we are confident that, with continued relationship-based training, these behaviors will continue to diminish.  Charlie is well suited to an active lifestyle and it's apparent that she wants a primary person to bond with. She walks very nicely on leash and is well attuned to her handler; she'd likely make a great running companion. That said, she isn't "high energy" and does settle well in the home, even without a ton of daily exercise. Charlie is now house trained, crate trained, and does not exhibit separation anxiety. Charlie will thrive with a large guardian breed savvy family with a secure yard, with or without canine companions, and older dog-savvy children; she has not been tested with cats.  &#226&#128&#139Adoption Info: The adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, flea/tick treatment, deworming, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Charlie was acquired as a puppy (unknown history) by an individual who had her as an outside dog, and then abandoned her; she was taken in by a good samaritan on Bainbridge Island in January 2025 and is now available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. October 10, 2025, 3:18 pm

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🌞 Meet JoeJoe — Your Future Adventure Buddy with a Golden Smile 🌞🐾 JoeJoe is a 3-year-old Golden Pyrenees mix, weighing in at 52 pounds, and he’s pure sunshine wrapped in fur. Friendly, playful, and always up for a good time, JoeJoe is the kind of dog who makes every day feel like an adventure — even if that adventure is just a walk around the block. He’s great with other dogs, loves people, and walks nicely on leash. JoeJoe has that classic Pyrenees charm: sweet, loyal, a little goofy, and full of heart. He loves toys, enjoys playtime, and would make an amazing hiking or adventure companion for an active family. 💛 A Little About JoeJoe’s Journey: JoeJoe arrived a bit on the thin side and could definitely use a few extra “groceries,” but he’s doing fantastic! In his foster home, he’s learning all about mealtime routines, sharing with dog siblings, and how to play nicely, and he’s thriving. With good food, structure, and love, he’s quickly becoming a happy, healthy, well-adjusted boy. Now, let’s talk honesty — JoeJoe has a bit of an adventurous spirit. He’s been known to test boundaries, so he’ll need a secure, tall fence and limited unsupervised yard time. Think of him less as an escape artist and more as a curious explorer who just needs the right setup. 😉 Cats are currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged if needed. He was tested and did great!!! 🐕 JoeJoe’s Highlights: ✅ 3 years old | 52 lbs ✅ Friendly with people and other dogs ✅ Walks well on leash ✅ Playful, affectionate, and toy-loving ✅ Learning great manners in foster care ✅ Would thrive with an active family ✅ Needs a secure yard JoeJoe is the kind of dog who will happily tag along on your adventures and then crash beside you afterward with a big, satisfied sigh. He’s ready for a home that will keep him active, loved, and part of the family. ✨ Apply today at haydudeequine.org and get ready for a lifetime of fun with JoeJoe! 🐾💛

Story
Meet Maggie, a bright, affectionate, and eager-to-please young rescue dog who is ready to find her forever family. Just over a year old and weighing 65 pounds, Maggie is the perfect blend of youthful energy and eager intelligence. From the moment she arrived in her foster home, she impressed everyone with how quickly she learns. She already knows commands like sit, off, and leave it, and she loves showing off her skills for praise or treats. Maggie is also wonderfully adaptable. She took to using the doggie door within minutes, proving just how sharp and intuitive she is. Whether she’s exploring the yard, relaxing inside, or settling into her crate for rest time, Maggie handles transitions with ease and appreciates having predictable routines she can rely on. Social and gentle, Maggie gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends to play and interact with. She thrives in an environment where she can continue learning, bonding, and picking up new commands—training with her is not only easy but genuinely enjoyable thanks to how quickly she understands what’s being asked of her. Maggie does experience anxiety when left alone in the house, so she needs to be crated for her safety and comfort when unsupervised. She also becomes anxious during car rides, so at this time she is available only within Texas to avoid long transports that could overwhelm her. Maggie is a loving, intelligent companion who will blossom with a patient, committed family. She’s ready to bring joy, devotion, and her sweet spirit to a home that understands her needs and celebrates her wonderful strengths. Maggie is currently being fostered in a loving home in Seguin, TX, where she’s gaining confidence and practicing her manners every day. She can scale a short fence so a 6 foot fence or higher is recommended. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Maggie click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-779 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy's team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
We are a group of happy, playful puppies full of curiosity and joy! Our days are spent pouncing, wrestling, playing tug-of-war, and exploring every nook and corner of the house. Adventure is our favorite job, and we take it very seriously. Food is another one of our great loves! Any trip to the kitchen must mean mealtime, and we’re happy to let you know just how hungry we are—even if we just finished eating. We are great with other dogs and kids, making us wonderful additions to families of all sizes. Our mama is a Great Pyrenees/Lab mix, and our dad is a Catahoula Leopard Dog, which means we’re expected to grow into large, strong, and loyal companions. With our playful personalities and affectionate nature, we’re ready to grow up in loving forever homes that can keep up with our energy and big hearts. Could one of us be the perfect addition to your family? Local adoption fee is $250(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
PLEASE DIRECT INQUIRIES ABOUT ADOPTABLE DOGS TO OUR FACEBOOK. WE ARE CURRENTLY UNABLE TO PROCESS APPLICATIONS VIA EMAIL DUE TO LIMITED STAFF. OUR CONTACT IS THROUGH FACEBOOK MESSENGER. https://www.facebook.com/REDRescueEveryDog/ Katya is a 1.5 year old (DOB 2021), spayed, Great Pyrenees (GP). GP dogs are a livestock guardian breed. Katya has been a very sweet girl in her current caregiver’s home and farm. She likes people she meets. Note: she has had no experience with young children. She lives with other dogs and, in that situation, is considered a lower member when it comes to pack dynamics. She has been good with horses and mule livestock. At this time, she is NOT free-range chicken approved. She has been easy to bathe and groom. When she doesn't like you brushing or something, she'll just gently take your hand in her mouth. That is a very normal GP reaction. Since she is a Great Pyrenees, she barks when outside and can hear, smell, or sense change or predators, as this is a livestock guardians’ job. Like all great Pyrenees, she will dig holes and has dug under fences. This is a thing for many GP. They are an amazing breed but require a bit higher-level dog skills and involvement that create kind pack leadership. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). We will be considering homes in W. Wa and possibly Oregon, no other out of state adoptions at this time. Adoption donation is $450.00 to help cover his neuter, daily care, vetting, etc. THIS DOG IS IN FOSTER CARE IN POULSBO, WA. MEET AND GREETS WILL TAKE PLACE THERE AS WELL. REQUIREMENTS FOR ADOPTION: - Securely and visibly fenced yard - Sturdy/safe crate, due to the safety hazard wire crates will be not be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). - Western Washington (WA), and possibly Northern Oregon locations at caseworker discretion. No other out of state adoptions at this time. ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adoption please fill out an application here: http://www.rescueeverydog.org/Adoption.php Answers to the application MUST be sent via message on Facebook (we do not receive applications sent via email) 1. Once the application is received it will be reviewed by that animals caseworker. 2.
