Story
CANDIE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION CANDIE IS A SPECIAL NEEDS PUP WHO NEEDS SPONSORSHIP Hi there. I'm Candie, a 15-year-old bichon mix. I am a BROC Senior Sunsetter and I've been living with my foster family here for over four years. Being a Senior Sunsetter means I'm kinda special. My mom says I'm the sweetest, most loving girl you can find. She must surely love me because even though I have ongoing health challenges, she said she will take care of me for the rest of my life. It has not been easy for her - or me! You see, I have something called "auto-immune deficiency" so I got this bad thing on my back and tummy. Mom called it MRSA. Not sure what that means but sometimes I sure itch a lot. My mom and the doctors treated me for a over a year with all sorts of medication. Now, my mom gives me special baths every other day to keep me as comfortable as possible. Last year, I had to have surgery in my tummy. They said I had a hernia and they needed to take it out. I don't know what they did because luckily I was sound asleep. I never did see my hernia! I'm so glad that all my family at BROC take such good care of me. I wonder who is taking care of them. At Bichon Rescue of Orange County, our commitment to our pups does not waiver when they have special needs. These special needs pups are less likely to be adopted for reasons of age, health or behavior. We have amazing volunteers committed to fostering these pups until the end but we need sponsors to help fund their needs. Won't you consider supporting Candie by setting up a monthly sponsorship? Even the smallest amount will help. As a Senior Sponsor, we will send you photos and updates on Candie. If you can find it in your heart to help Candie or one of our other seniors, please copy and paste this link into your browser: https://bichonrescueoc.org/sponsorship

SOFIA IS SPECIAL NEEDS AND IS IN NEED OF A SPONSOR. SHE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Hello everyone, My name is Sofia and my personality is as big as my beautiful name. I'm a 8-year-old small 8-pound Bichon Frise mix. I am fun, loving and full of spirit! They call me a SPECIAL NEEDS PUP. I took a fall before becoming a BROC BABE and the doctors said I would NEVER walk again due to a spinal cord rupture. But my foster mom says I have the will to get wherever I want, nothing holds me back. My BROC Aunties got some custom wheels for me and you should see me run. I'm like a horse in its chariot, and I must say, I do look adorable. I take walks with and without my wheels, I walk with all my fur siblings and chase bunnies like no other but I need my wheels at times. My foster mom loves me and takes great care of me. I am still practicing walking and recovering and could use some help with my medical bills and daily needs. If you’d like to sponsor me, please use the link below. Thank you! Story
Hello! My name is Tony and I am 13-pound male 1 year old Bichon Frise puppy mix. My new BROC family pulled me out of a terrible place called the shelter! I was found out on the streets of LA in the rain. I've had a tough month. I'm still very scared. My hair was a mess, it was so knotted that I couldn't move with out pain. My aunties got my knots out and I feel better, yet I'm still a bit scared of strangers, but I'm getting much better. I'm going to need another pup in my future home and will need some training. I'm really a very sweet boy - smart and affectionate, just a little scared right now. I have had a thorough health examination and I’m microchipped. If you have room in your heart and home for me, please complete an adoption application. https://bichonrescueoc.org/adoption-application

Story
Hello! My name is Timmy and I am 30-pound, very young, active, 10 year old male Bichon Frise mix. I'm a bit new to my BROC family, so I'm still trying to show them all of my fabulous traits. As you can see, I'm a chunky little guy. Thank goodness I love walks and can walk forever, which I need to do to get back my boyish figure. I am very affectionate and love to cuddle. I get along with everyone I meet, including kids, another pup in my new home would be great too. I am loved and well-cared for with my foster family but I am looking for my forever loving home. I have had a thorough health examination, I’m microchipped and I will have a dental cleaning prior to adoption. If you have room in your heart and home for me, please complete an adoption application. https://bichonrescueoc.org/adoption-application

Scheduling your Home Safety Evaluation and Meet and Greet presents a significant challenge. If you express an interest in adopting this pup, we will make every effort to make that possible. You will be contacted to schedule a telephone interview and details of the current approval process will be explained.
