Animal Control finally found him and took him to the shelter. The Shelter ad said that this little boy needed a rescue ASAP and Maltese Rescue California jumped into action. We took him to the ophthalmologist who recommended that his left eye be removed. He had surgery to remove his eye and he doesn't miss it at all. Additionally, he was given a dental and several of his teeth had to be removed. His skin was inflamed, much of his hair had fallen out and he was severely underweight. Patches is a trooper and has come through all of his procedures and his healing process with flying colors. He's fluffy, funny and he loves food and looks forward to feeding time with bated breath. He is now looking for a forever family to share his golden years who will love him like he should've been loved his whole life.
