Story
This sweet lovebug lives to snuggle by your side. He is in doggie heaven if you pet him while he sits by you, the longer the better! He is quiet, easy-going, and affectionate. At 12 years old, Snowball looks and acts like a much younger dog. He had a recent vet exam, senior bloodwork, and a dental and our vet tells us he is in tip top shape! He is housetrained and is currently being let out every few hours for a potty break. Snowball loves all people and other dogs. He would fit in with any family. Snowball is now ready for his forever home. Apply here:https://fs8.formsite.com/Caringhearts/form1/index March 28, 2025, 8:21 pm

She enjoys playing with other small dogs and would be a wonderful 2nd dog for a family.  Holly's guardian explains why she has made the decision to rehome her:  Her guardian has developed medical issues and can no longer care for her.  Holly's guardian offers a brief medical history:  "Nothing chronic to report.  Recent medical exam was in May 2025 and she was healthy." Holly's guardian states the following regarding children:   Holly hasn't lived with children, so her guardian doesn't recommend her living with children, stating "Holly dislikes toddlers and children and is fearful of them." Holly's guardian states the following regarding dogs:   Holly lives with dogs, so her guardian recommends her living with dogs, stating:    "She will do great in a home with other small dogs.  She is very social.  She is working on her confidence in meeting (large) dogs outdoors." Holly's guardian states the following regarding cats:  Holly hasn't lived with cats, so her guardian is unsure how she would react to cats in a household, stating "She's been indifferent to outside stray cats.  She hasn't been formally introduced to a cat but I don't have any reason to say that she won't do okay". Holly's guardian describes her as: Playful Shy Small dog friendly Affectionate Fearful of toddlers, children, and big dogs Independent Crate-Trained Holly's guardian describes her ideal future home:  "Holly needs experienced owners that are sensitive to her needs and will be patient and understanding with her.  She will be great in a house with a small dog so she can borrow from their confidence.  A couple or family who would adore her." I'm Abbie, and I'm the SWEETEST lap dog you will find! I'm a senior, easy going and quiet gal, which means I can live in an apartment, condo or townhome! Not only am I a chill gal, but I get along great with dogs of all sizes, people and likely cats. I'm just not bothered, in fact, I am a confident lady (not shy or timid). I do have one request though. I must be able to sleep in the big bed with my humans, sorry, non-negotiable!!! The weather is getting chilly, and I'm looking for that warm lap-human to keep me cozy. Please apply today if you are the one for me. Hatton Animal Rescue spends significantly more on each dog than the adoption fee covers; please consider making a tax-deductible donation by visiting us at https://www.hattonanimalrescue.org/sponsor. Donations help us offset vetting, boarding costs, and additional medical treatments for dogs who need it. For more information on Hatton Animal Rescue, visit our website at: hattonanimalrescue.org.

Story
Harriet is an adorable and snuggly little girl. She was abandoned by someone who opened their car door and let her out at a dog park and drove away! She loves to sleep at the foot of the bed, enjoys long walks but also likes to be a couch potato. She is great with the resident small dog--super respectful with him and follows his lead. She's met bigger dogs on the street that she's been fine with. She does have a little bit of separation anxiety. It was worse when she first arrived in care, but she seems to understand she is safe now so she whines for a minute or so when you leave and also when you get back because she's relieved and happy! She barks when people come to the door but is otherwise chill. She gets along great with the resident cat. Harriet really is a little gem who just wants to be cuddled, loved and fed--she does like to chow down ;-) She would make a great second dog--super easy and she loves to cuddle next to her foster brother. But she is also fine to go on her own as she is very motivated to be next to her human.

Story
Benji Magoo – Inspiration to all Underdogs, Snack Enthusiasts, and Dogs Who Are Just Trying Their BestOccupation(s): Professional Shadow • Shower Lifeguard • Neighborhood Watch InternAge: Young enough to cause chaos, old enough to know he shouldn’t, and bold enough to do it anyway.Equal parts fuzzy charm and feral goblin energy, this spicy Shih Tzu operates on pure vibes, endless shenanigans, and zero regrets. He has a Tough Guy exterior, but a soft, snuggly center reserved for his chosen people. His attitude is as big as he is small, and his circle of trust is modest, but growing every day. Magoo’s hobbies include acting as Resident Bouncer when visitors are at the door, supervising all bathroom activities, and learning from the resident dogs how to bark at pedestrians who have the audacity to mind their own business.Magoo has also done wonderfully with his foster’s five-year-old niece, proving that while he may be a tiny bouncer at heart, he has a soft spot for gentle kiddos who offer good vibes and better treats.Fun Fact: He was recently interviewed by a Newsweek reporter, so please address him with the respect befitting a media personality. He’s basically a celebrity now. Autographs available between 11:00am - 11:09am every other Thursday. Personality: 10/10Penchant for Criminal Activity: 7/10Commitment to being adorable chaos: 100/10Ego after the Newsweek interview: Off the chartsIf you have experience with short kings who have big personalities and loud opinions, we welcome you to submit an inquiry to become Benji’s new sidekick by emailing his foster mom at maureen1188@gmail.com. Benji Magoo is a special adoption; his new family will meet with a member of HRA’s behavior team to go over his unique personality, needs, and how to best support a tiny king with a limited field of vision but an unlimited capacity for love, snacks, and chaos. To see more of his antics (and his good side), check him out on Instagram @Barks_and_Wreck
