Sky and her friends are all sweet but timid. She allows us all handling and seems to enjoy sitting on our laps, but can still be nervous. She is the braves of the three bichons though. She is hoping for a patient and loving home that will help her break out of her shell. Having a social and friendly dog at home would be of a great benefit. She would need to meet any resident dogs. hi Tianna, this good girl is a 7 1/2 year old Bichon. She was surrendered to us with a few other dogs from a commercial breeder in Lancaster when she was no longer wanted. She is approx.. 12 lbs. Tianna is a sweetie. She is on the shy side but enjoys spending time with other dogs in small dog play-groups. She also will wag her tail and come up to our volunteers for some loving. You can see how much she wants to interact with the volunteers and she is just working up her courage to be at ease while doing it. She will give kisses to those she is comfortable with. Dorrito is a 3‑month‑old red Bichon / mini poodle mix who came to us from a Lancaster breeder after he couldn’t be sold. What the breeder saw as a flaw, we see as a puppy overflowing with joy, sweetness, and endless potential. Dorrito is a happy, social, cuddly little fellow who adores everyone he meets. He loves being held, playing gently, and soaking up attention. His spirit is bright, affectionate, and incredibly endearing. But Dorrito does have something important for his future family to know: he has been diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur. Right now, we don’t know exactly what this will mean for him long‑term. Heart murmurs in puppies can be unpredictable— ✨ Some dogs improve as they grow ✨ Others remain the same ✨ Some may require lifelong medication or monitoring ✨ And in some cases, the condition can be life‑limiting Because Dorrito is still so young and small, it’s simply too early to know which path his heart will take. He has already been neutered, but future surgeries or treatments may be more complicated depending on how his heart develops. We will do our best to learn more as he grows, but his adoptive family should be prepared for uncertainty and potential medical needs down the road. The transition from kennel to couch has been scary for Erin, but she is doing her best to be brave. It’s clear she desperately wants to trust – slowly approaching her foster mom to give sweet kisses on her hand when she is feeling safe. Watching her relax and dance around when she is excited has been such a joy!! Erin is looking for a calm environment and an understanding family that will give her the time and space she needs to settle in. She’ll need a home with a resident dog to learn from and she gets along with cats too. Training is a work in progress, but her foster mom is focusing on building her trust and confidence.
