Pringle is a 3‑month‑old, 5‑lb Bichon/Poodle mix who came to us from a commercial breeder after he couldn’t be sold — all because he’s missing one of his back paws. But don’t tell him that. Pringle has no idea he’s any different, and he approaches life with nothing but joy, confidence, and love. This tiny fluff is fun, social, affectionate, and absolutely adores everyone he meets. His tail never stops wagging, and he greets every person like they’re his new best friend. Despite his physical difference, he’s active, happy, and getting around just fine. He does walk with a little limp, but honestly, it only adds to his charm. Right now, Pringle is perfectly okay just the way he is. As he grows, though, his family will need to keep a close eye on his developing leg. Some puppies missing a paw continue to manage wonderfully for life; others may eventually need an amputation if the stump causes pain, injury, or mobility issues. ❤️ Importantly: If Pringle ever requires an amputation in the future, Phoenix Animal Rescue will cover that procedure at our veterinarian. Dorrito is a 3‑month‑old red Bichon / mini poodle mix who came to us from a Lancaster breeder after he couldn’t be sold. What the breeder saw as a flaw, we see as a puppy overflowing with joy, sweetness, and endless potential. Dorrito is a happy, social, cuddly little fellow who adores everyone he meets. He loves being held, playing gently, and soaking up attention. His spirit is bright, affectionate, and incredibly endearing. But Dorrito does have something important for his future family to know: he has been diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur. Right now, we don’t know exactly what this will mean for him long‑term. Heart murmurs in puppies can be unpredictable— ✨ Some dogs improve as they grow ✨ Others remain the same ✨ Some may require lifelong medication or monitoring ✨ And in some cases, the condition can be life‑limiting Because Dorrito is still so young and small, it’s simply too early to know which path his heart will take. He has already been neutered, but future surgeries or treatments may be more complicated depending on how his heart develops. Tatianna better known as Tati Tati is a beautiful 3 year old Bichon who was luckily released from a commercial breeder at a young age. Although she is petite at just 10 1/2 pounds, she is mighty. She is strong, smart and curious. The more comfortable she’s gotten in her foster home, the more relaxed and inquisitive she’s become. Her forever family will need to earn her trust and be patient as she learns the ins and outs of becoming a well-loved family member. A confident resident pup is required as she continues to model her behavior. She very much follows the cues of her foster fur brothers and sisters. Tati is being fostered with dogs of her size and she gets along with everyone. She would enjoy a more playful companion. Children in her forever home should be older and respectful of dogs. Tati still startles at quick movements and loud noises. A fenced yard will be safest for her until she trusts her family to keep her safe. She is making good progress with house-training. Some regression in a new environment should be expected. Tati is crate trained during the day but enjoys sleeping in the bed with her pack. Tati is spayed and had a dental with some extractions. She is up to date with vaccines and is microchipped. She is being fostered in Collegeville, Montgomery County. A home visit and meet and greet with all residents including pets is part of the application process. My name is Winter, aka Winnie, aka Win-win and I am the cutest little 4-year-old, 10 lb. Bichon. I was rescued from a commercial breeder and I love that my new life includes a home with lots of dog beds. I LOVE my own space to lie down, my foster mom has a bed for me in every room, and I prefer to watch family life from the safety and comfort of my own personal space. I am so small that I even like to curl up on a couch pillow. I would do best in a calm home with people who patiently respect the fact that I am learning how to be a dog. I would be ok without kids or with kids over the age of 8ish who will understand that even though I look like a stuffed animal, I do NOT like to be picked up and held. I could be your one and only true love or I would be happy to live with another furry friend who is relaxed and who will respect my small size and chill nature. I live with 2 big dogs now and I do like to cuddle up with them and follow them outside, but I am happy just to relax next to my favorite humans. I am an escape artist and I figured out how to wiggle under my fenced in yard so my foster parents had to secure the fence to keep me safe. I would do well with a fenced in yard, with a fence that goes right to the ground. I was spayed and I am UTD on vaccinations and microchipped. I had an Xray of my right hip which showed some degenerative changes, but I don't appear to be in any discomfort. I will need to be on joint supplementation for the rest of my life, but I take medication without a problem when it's tucked into some soft food. I also had to have a few teeth pulled, but my foster mom says that I look like an adorable first grader, missing my front teeth. Potty training is a work in progress, if I am taken out at regular intervals, I am ok, I do get a little confused at night about waiting until the morning, but I am working on that. Watching her relax and dance around when she is excited has been such a joy!!
