hi Darla, this pretty lady is a 8-year-old, 20 lbs. Shih Tzu / Bichon mix. She was surrendered to our care with another dog from commercial breeder when they was no longer needed. Darla spent many years being used for nothing more than profit so she is understandably a bit confused in her new life. She allows all handling but she is very timid. She will do her best imitation of a statue when meeting new people so she is looking for a loving and patient home that will help her gain more confidence. She really needs a home with a social dog to help her. She would need to meet any resident dogs. She will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and 4dx tested. She is also scheduled for a dental evaluation and will receive it as the vet deems is necessary. hi Agnes, this sweet girl is an approx. 6 year old, 14 lbs. Shih Tzu. She and several other small dogs were surrendered to our care from a commercial breeder when they no longer wanted them. Agnes has been a nice and gentle girl since joining the rescue. She is on the quiet side and been easy going with our volunteers. She can be a bit shy with new friends but quickly warms up. She is a great little pup that will be a wonderful companion for her future family. Agnes will come spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, 4dx tested. After spending her life in a kennel having puppies for profit, being in a home is a whole new experience. Her foster family is being patient with her and giving her the space she needs to feel safe. Their pack of dogs is showing her how to be a dog and that people can be trusted. We will be looking for a home for her with other dogs to help her confidence and comfort. She seems fine with cats. She would benefit from a securely fenced in yard for house- and leash-training. One thing Blair has realized is quite enjoyable is having quiet time sitting with her foster dad on the couch. She doesn’t initiate the interaction, but she will relax a bit as they watch TV together. This little lady has loads of potential, all she needs is a chance.
