Story
I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $500 Meet Luna Loo! Luna Loo is a sweet, affectionate girl with a heart full of love. She adores being close to her people and is happiest when she's by your side, whether she's relaxing on the couch or following you around the house. Once she trusts you, Luna Loo becomes a loyal "velcro dog" who simply wants to be part of your everyday life. Luna Loo has overcome a traumatic tail injury that resulted in an amputation. Because of what she's been through, she is looking for a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. When frightened, in pain, or protecting her resources, she may react defensively. She is seeking an adult-only home with someone who will respect her boundaries, give her space when she needs it, and continue building her confidence using positive reinforcement. Despite her past, Luna Loo is incredibly loving and ready to find the peaceful home she deserves. If you're looking for a devoted companion and have the patience to let her blossom at her own pace, Luna Loo will reward you with unwavering loyalty and unconditional love. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. We also cannot guarantee the ages of our adoptable animals or how large puppies will be when fully grown. We look forward to seeing you soon! Story
Nico, a Maltese/Poodle mix, may only be about 6 weeks old, but he's already getting a fresh start at life. After being rescued from a puppy mill, this sweet little boy is finally experiencing what it means to be safe, cared for, and loved. Like any young puppy, he's curious, playful, and full of potential. Every day brings new discoveries as he learns about toys, cozy beds, tasty treats, and gentle human affection. If you're ready for puppy snuggles, lots of laughter, and the rewarding experience of watching a little survivor grow into the dog he was always meant to be, this handsome boy would love to meet you. He can't wait to find a family that will show him just how wonderful life can be. *Nico is currently still in foster care with mom but is accepting applications for an adoption hold for when he is old enough to go home at 8 weeks old. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-dogs
