Story
Alabaster is the the most delightful Bichon Frise in all the land! He weighs about 14 pounds and he's 11 months old. He has quickly adjusted to his foster home and proven he loves children of any and all age and size! He warms up quickly to adults, too! He's also interested in dog and cat friends, so he would love to join a family with children and/or other pets! The more the merrier! Alabaster is working on puppy training but he's got some work to do, so his family should be prepared for puppy training! He loves to be on the go, but he will also be your little shadow. He just wants to be included and is happy to cuddle whenever possible. He will be a fabulous addition to any home who loves to spend time with their pup! Let us know if Alabaster is the pup for you. Alabaster's adoption fee is $650

Story
Sweet Lilac is a 4 year old, 15 pound, Bichon Frise who came to us as a breeder release. It's clear she has experienced the comforts of home as she is nervous in her new surroundings. She likes to watch her foster mom from a safe distance, but she will need time and patience while she learns she is safe. Her foster mom has started working on basic training, like getting used to a leash, going outside to do her business, and just generally trusting humans. When she is carried outside, she likes to explore the area a bit. With time, we are sure she'll expand her curiosity and explore more! Lilac is hoping to find a family who will continue on this journey of adjusting with her. She's a precious little lady who just needs time to adjust and feel safe! Lilac's adoption fee is $550

Story
Meet Graphite, a 15 pound, 2 year old, Bichon Frise boy! This little fella is good with other dogs, big and small, and jumps at the door when the resident dogs are outside. He tries to engage with the other resident small dog in his foster home (even though he's met with disinterest :)) Graphite is cautious around new humans at first, but he's curious and likes to investigate the happenings in his foster home! His foster family has started working on potty training on a schedule, getting him used to stairs, and walking on a leash. He's not a fan of the crate but has been doing well with free roam. He likes his bed and blanket, thank you very much! Graphite will make a great pup for a patient and loving home willing to give him time to fully immerse himself in being a dog. Let us know if you would like to meet him! Graphite's adoption fee is $550

Story
Meet Oreo 🐾 Oreo is a 9-year-old Bichon Frise (born August 8, 2016), under 10 lbs, neutered, healthy, and potty trained. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old. He sleeps in his kennel at night and goes in on command. He’s very food motivated and will twirl in circles when you tell him to “dance”! Oreo has lots of energy but does not tear up toys or destroy things. He loves belly rubs, affection, and being close to his person. His rabies vaccine is current; he had his puppy shots but no additional boosters. He does need grooming, and is nervous with vets and groomers, he may need meds for grooming. Due to time and financial constraints, I can’t give him the care he deserves. He would do best with an older adult or someone home often who can give him love and attention.

Story
Meet Dottie! Dotte is a 4-year-old Bichon Frise, weighing 12 lbs, with a sweet personality and a fresh start ahead of her. She has a medium energy level—she enjoys activity and playtime but also appreciates downtime once her needs are met. Dottie gets along well with other dogs and cats and does best with school-age children or older. She enjoys companionship and being part of daily life. Dottie came to rescue as a breeder release from a puppy mill, so she is still learning what it means to be a family dog. She is still working on housebreaking and is not leash trained or crate trained, and will need a patient, understanding adopter who can help her continue building confidence and skills. Dottie would thrive in a home that: 1.Has experience or patience with dogs new to home life 2.Can provide consistent routines and gentle training 3.Includes another friendly dog (a plus, but not required) 4.Has school-age children or older 5.Understands that former breeder dogs need time, kindness, and reassurance With the right home, Dottie has all the potential to blossom into a loving and devoted companion. An adoption fee applies. Dottie will be fully vetted, including spay, vaccines, and microchip. Dottie is currently being fostered in Mukwonago, WI. For additional information on Dottie, please contact her foster mom, Kathie, at 262-939-6404. Applications for adoption can be completed on our website at www.tinypawssmalldogrescue.org.

Story
About Me: Name: Rocky Rolo Breed (or best guess): Bichon Mix Approximate Age: 1 1/2 yrs Gender: Male Approximate Weight: 8 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Loving and patient family Why In Rescue:  Texas Transfer Profile:   Rocky Rolo came to us from Texas.  He is a sweet, shy boy waiting for a loving family.  We don't get a history or background on the dogs, so are learning more about him everyday.  He have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated for Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella and Rabies, heartworm and tick tested and started on prevention, had a health exam, and microchipped.  If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS February 9, 2026, 7:38 pm
