Story
Koda is a 3 year old black mouth cur/lab mix. She is energetic, loves attention and to play fetch. She is the perfect dog for someone who is active and likes to run, walk, hike, etc. She does well with other humans and dogs, and has been to the dog park and doggy daycare countless times. She would do well in a home with an active couple with no kids, or someone older looking for a loyal companion. She will do ok with older kids and teens, but not suitable for young kids. She does get along with other dogs, but a perfect situation would be her being the only dog so she can get the full attention and love she needs. She is a good girl and deserves a loving home  *Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we have reformatted the way that we do adoptions in order to follow social distancing protocols. We are thrilled that so many people want to adopt right now, but we are not equipped to handle the large number of calls, applications, and email inquiries we are receiving. We are no longer answering phone calls and are doing all communications with adopters via email. If you have a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application before sending us emails. When your application has been processed, you will receive an email from us with further instructions on how to adopt. You do not need a new application for every dog that you are interested in adopting.  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary, but all include spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccinations and deworming, rabies vaccine at the time of spay or neuter, and 30 days of pet insurance. We also cover hernia repair and cherry eye repair at the time of spay or neuter. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1045935##

Story
Poco is a very lovable, loyal, excitable boy. He loves to have open space outside but is also accustomed to being inside as well, he’s very well potty trained, and loves to snuggle. He is very high energy and will need a yard to run around in, but also loves to wind down and relax as well. He’s a mixture of a true lazy boy and high energy, his personality is one of a kind. He’s hilarious with his mannerisms, he will make your day if you’re upset or down. He’s fine with other dogs but has never lived with one so I’d recommend introducing them gently. He lives with a cat now and he constantly try’s to play with this cat however this cat is not amused by poco so he is constantly rejected. Poco needs an owner full of love who is willing to shower him with it, he needs a true dog lover, someone who will take him on walks and chase him around the yard. Poco is truly special. You will never meet a dog like poco, he could be your best friend, he sure was mine.

Story
Vada, a 10-month-old lab mix, is a dynamic and empathetic individual. Having navigated a multitude of experiences in her brief life, she continues to radiate joy. With her lighthearted and endearing personality, she is well-suited for a household with another dog of similar size (~50 pounds), providing her with a companion for playful activities. While she is known to be fond of people and dogs of all sizes, her affinity for cats remains undetermined. As a responsive learner, she has acclimated to crate training during nighttime hours and is eager to secure a permanent home for the new year

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure DaVinci finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).   Delighted to have a second chance at life, 3-month-old DaVinci is thriving in his foster home. The sleek 15-pound black and white beauty is sweet with a splash of silliness, hops like a bunny, and is charmingly clumsy as he finds his puppy footing! He not only loves cuddling and snuggling with his fosters and resting his head on them, he loves wrestling with his doggy foster friends and lying outside in the yard, soaking up the sun’s warming rays. Agile, athletic and happiest when active, DaVinci enjoys going for walks, honing his leash skills along the way, and although he’s initially shy when meeting small and medium-sized dogs, he warms up quickly and wants to play with them. Fondest of chew toys and bones, he favors bananas, apples and training treats, is both highly food motivated and highly intelligent, and being eager to learn and to please, responds promptly when corrected. DaVinci has already mastered “come” and “sit,” is learning “leave it,” is at work on his puppy manners, and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained to use a doggy door. Now DaVinci’s dream home is one with active and loving adopters who will perfect his manners, continue his socialization, and complete his training, including his commands, in return for his own enduring loyalty and love.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking here. Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls.PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Schmee, this little boy is pure joy.  He is 6.5-months old (est bd 10/1/2024). He knows his sit command very well and loves to earn a treat when practicing.  Next, he will learn the down command and sitting while waiting for the door to go outside. He loves walks. He likes to fetch his toys and sometimes brings the toy back to be thrown again.  He is a huge cuddler!  He met our cat once and didn’t really care much about it.  He gets along great with other dogs.  He likes to watch tv…so far a soccer fan! He is ready for his forever home! This update just in from his foster... Schmee has been very good at his crate training. He settles down after a few minutes and just relaxes. His potty training is coming along very nicely.  He can't quite make it through the long night (maybe you have a shorter window lol), but days are getting much easier with his schedule and the nice weather. He loves the nice weather, and outside playing in the sun is his favorite thing to do!   Put in an application at eapl.com His adoption fee is $375  April 19, 2025, 2:15 pm
