Story
Dreamy is a sweet 10-month-old girl who may be a Black Mouth Cur/Heeler mix or possibly a Lab mix. She’s a playful, wiggly bundle of energy who loves nothing more than a good game of tug-of-war or chasing balls and floppy toys. She’s almost always got a toy in her mouth and is happiest when she’s running and playing. Dreamy can try to assert herself with other dogs, but she’s very easy to redirect and responds well to guidance. She’s house-trained with the occasional accident and is learning to indicate when she needs to go outside. She’s crate trained, comfortable in the car, and does decently on leash. This sweet girl would do best in a home with older kids or younger kids with supervision, where she can get plenty of exercise and playtime. If you’re looking for a loving, playful companion who’s always up for fun, Dreamy just might be your perfect match! Put in an application at eapl.com. Her adoption fee is $375 November 29, 2025, 5:54 pm

Story
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Ranger finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours  (please check your spam folder for our emails) .   Ranger #5 | 6-Month-Old Black Mouth Cur | Playful, Bright, and Learning the World Ranger is a bright, energetic 6-month-old Black Mouth Cur who has come a long way after a tough start to life. Taken from his mom too early and later surrendered to a crowded shelter, he was scared and unsure of the world when he arrived—but with love, routine, and patience, he’s blossoming into a sweet, affectionate companion who’s ready for a family committed to helping him continue to grow. Ranger is mostly house trained, uses the doggie door, and enjoys his walks—he may pull a bit, but he’s learning. He settles nicely when crated and does best that way when home alone, simply because he’s still young and curious and may chew on things he shouldn’t if left to his own devices. With guidance and continued training, he’s showing great improvement. Socially, Ranger is still building confidence. He can be unsure when meeting new dogs and people, and his initial barking or growling is his way of expressing nervousness, not aggression. With slow introductions and reassurance, he relaxes quickly—especially with female dogs and when meeting in neutral, outdoor spaces. He has even done well with young children once he understands they’re friendly, though calmer interactions suit him best. Ranger is highly food-motivated, smart, and eager to learn. He already knows several basic commands and responds well to redirection. He thrives with structure and is happiest when he has a job to do—long walks, fetch, tug, puzzle toys, and training sessions help channel his puppy energy in positive ways. After playtime, he becomes an affectionate cuddlebug who loves belly rubs, resting his head on you, or curling up in your lap for a nap. He also entertains himself with durable chew toys and his beloved ice cubes. His perfect home would include an active, fairly submissive female dog who enjoys play, along with an adopter who can offer patience, continued socialization, and consistent training. Ranger bonds deeply with his person and becomes a devoted shadow once he feels safe. With the right match, he’ll grow into a loyal, loving, and wonderfully rewarding companion.   If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Pammi is a lovebug and is super cuddly once she trusts her people, she is absolutely adorable and her eyes will melt your heart! She is guessed to be a 1-2 yr old Black Mouth Cur mix. and is ready to be loved! Look at how striking she is in the photographs and she is even more beautiful in person. This gorgeous girl is a bit shy at first, but is learning how good it is to be loved by humans. We don't know much about her history but we can tell she was never socialized. Pammi loves to play with other dogs so she will probably do best with a confident canine buddy in her future home but is not completely necessary if an adopter has lots of love to share with her. Pammi loves to be cuddled once she feels safe with you so if you have a warm lap and love to give, she is the right dog for you! She loves her kennel and feels very safe in it. She sleeps through the night and naps in it during the day. This beautiful girl is waiting patiently to find her FurEver Family and is currently being fostered with one of our dog trainers that specializes and rehabilitates shy or unsocialized dogs. Her foster mom has an amazing rehabilitation protocol to help these precious dogs and is working with all the dogs in her care on potty training, socializing with dogs and humans, kennel training, doggie door training and if time permits, leash and car training. There are lots of other dogs at her foster mom's house so we know she is dog friendly. Her foster doesn't have any cats but thinks she would be fine with them if introduced slowly and properly. We also think she would be fine with older / calm children. Please consider this adorable dog as a part of your family. She deserves all the kindness and will give you a lifetime of affection. Her foster mom is located in Fort Collins Colorado and wants to find a patient adopter, who is willing to do a minimum of one paid (discounted) training session with her. This training session is NOT basic obedience, but instead, is designed for rescue dogs and teaches the adopter how to work to build the dogs confidence and overcome any trauma the dog may have experienced. This training is to teach the adopter how to help the dog be successful in their new home and will help the family and this sweet dog bond and adjust to their new life together. The foster provides a discount on training to her adopters. Please apply for Pammi today!!
