Story
At 10 years young, Kaleesi couldn’t be sweeter or kinder to those she LOVES! Don't let her age fool you, she's an energetic lady! The friendly 55-pound owner surrender, now safe in her foster home, is passionate about her one special person, in this case her foster mom, rolling over for belly rubs and then dancing and prancing about. Kaleesi loves going on walks, improving her leash skills daily, likes games of fetch, chewing bones and playing with squeaky toys and balls. While she gets along well with dogs of all sizes, her prey drive has her chasing cats! But can we all agree that she wins the "Best Smile" award?!! Motivated by food and toys, she currently knows “come, “sit” and “down,” but having missed out on much of her training, she’s extremely intelligent, eager to please and should prove easy to teach. Fully house-trained, and at work on her manners, Kaleesi will thrive in an active home with loving adopters to perfect her manners, complete her training, including her commands, and ensure that her second life is her best paws-ible life. See more photos and videos here!   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.  The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.  Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption. Please fill out an adoption application by clicking  here . Please give us 48 hours to review your application and respond to you. (Remember to check your spam folder for our emails!) We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email dogs@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can't accept calls. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member! Story
Frosty was named after her frosty face. Found struggling to survive on the bad side of San Antonio Texas. She made an attempt to get help from all surrounding homes near the street she slept and not one person gave her a chance. That was until one of our Texas fosters came across her. She was so hungry she had to be given a slow feeder for the first week of decompression. She is a very old soul extremely loving. She's an older girl in her golden years she not the type to take long extended walks but she will keep you company while you watch a movie. Frosty also enjoys the company of other submissive dogs but would also benefit from being the only pup in your life. Frosty is comfortable with children as well.  ##2006340##

Story
Koda is a 3 year old black mouth cur/lab mix. She is energetic, loves attention and to play fetch. She is the perfect dog for someone who is active and likes to run, walk, hike, etc. She does well with other humans and dogs, and has been to the dog park and doggy daycare countless times. She would do well in a home with an active couple with no kids, or someone older looking for a loyal companion. She will do ok with older kids and teens, but not suitable for young kids. She does get along with other dogs, but a perfect situation would be her being the only dog so she can get the full attention and love she needs. She is a good girl and deserves a loving home  *Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we have reformatted the way that we do adoptions in order to follow social distancing protocols. We are thrilled that so many people want to adopt right now, but we are not equipped to handle the large number of calls, applications, and email inquiries we are receiving. We are no longer answering phone calls and are doing all communications with adopters via email. If you have a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application before sending us emails. When your application has been processed, you will receive an email from us with further instructions on how to adopt. You do not need a new application for every dog that you are interested in adopting.  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary, but all include spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccinations and deworming, rabies vaccine at the time of spay or neuter, and 30 days of pet insurance. We also cover hernia repair and cherry eye repair at the time of spay or neuter. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1045935##

Story
Hi! My sister desperately needs to rehome her black mouth cur and lab mix, Koda, which my sister's other dog attacked. Fortunately, there were no significant wounds, and all minor cuts healed. Rehoming the other dog would be more challenging, so they had to make the best decision for Koda. She's not current on her vaccines, but my sister will get that done if needed, and she is a spade. Koda is 3.5 years old and has basic training; she’s good on a leash until another dog approaches, and then she jumps and gets super excited. She barks a lot but has been trained with an e-collar. Koda is good with other dogs but, unfortunately, isn't the best with kids; she nipped at my niece a few times out of jealousy. She's super intelligent and has loads of potential with training to be the best companion for someone. My sister adopted Koda when she was a puppy, so Koda has only known our family, and it's tough to part with her. Unfortunately, my sister cannot provide

Story
Hello, friends, my name is Eli, when I was a baby they called me Flopper, but now I’m a big boy and have a big boy name. Although being named after a shoe, flip flop Flopper wasn’t too shabby for a pup! I am now turned into a big, beautiful, brown & white, boy. I’m the color of an oatmeal cream pie cookie. As you can see from my photo, I’m so very sweet and loving. I’m described as a very quiet, pretty laid back type of guy. I’m of course neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. Plus crate & house trained and I have done great with both! I am also starting work on leash manners which I am also doing well with because I’m very good at learning. I was raised around multiple dogs of all sizes and colors and temperaments. I do wonderful with other dogs, I am very submissive, not bossy at all. I also really adore the kiddos. I haven’t tested with cats yet, but Foster Mom says with proper introductions and supervision I would be fine because I’m an all around nice boy! I know we can really get along and be a family together. Basics: Eli PC- male neutered, DOB 10/9/23, potential weight when fully grown 55-65 lbs, Pitbull mix, fawn with some white spots, good with dogs, cats, kids, happy and playful, laid back, sweet, potty and crate trained Location: South Texas but can be transported out of state How To Adopt: Please sign up to adopt me. DogHouse ArtHouse’s processes are still under construction, so please complete an application with our sister rescue God’s Dogs Rescue here https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/GDR/Dog/ Partially filled out applications, or applications without a vet reference will not be considered without thorough explanation as to why it cannot be fully completed. Dogs are physically located in Victoria Texas and available for adoption nationwide. Adoption processes can be found at https://www.doghousearthouse.org/adoption-process

Story
Good with: people, most dogs but preferably male dogs. Does not get along with other alpha females. Unknown if she gets along with young children. Meet Effie Effie is an easy going dog with a wonderful personality. She enjoys snuggling on the couch, going on walks and to the park, chasing the hose, hanging out on brewery patios, and being part of a family. She can be stubborn but she makes it easy to love her. Before her injury, she went to doggy day care once a week and has experience with being boarded. She loves to say hi to her dog friends in the neighborhood when she is on a walk. She is not leash reactive. She likes going on low intensity hikes, but can get tired pretty quickly on a hot day. Since she has had multiple injuries, Effie would be happiest in a home with a yard where she can watch squirrels all day, investigate new smells, go on regular walks, and hang out with her people. While she is really comfortable with those she knows and loves, she can be wary of new people, especially new people that visit her home. She does best being introduced to new people outside of her home. However, she has never bitten anyone. Everywhere she goes people fall in love with her. She might be the only dog that looks forward to going to the vet because she knows the staff have a hard time not constantly petting her and telling her how cute she is. Effie completed an 8 week training course and is still learning new tricks. She’s not huge on toys, but is very food motivated. She can work out a puzzle toy or a new skill with the right treat. Because of her injuries, it is possible that Effie needs to live a lower impact life, but still gets the enrichment she deserves. This means including her in more day to day activities instead of intense exercise. She is also very funny. Very good howler when sirens come through the neighborhood.
