You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Jana is a beautiful pup who is looking for a home! Jana is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters! Jana is described as affectionate, smart and eager to please. Her Louisiana foster family says she is  housebroken and does well in a crate and on the leash. She likes other dogs and has done well with kids.  Jana is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $550.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
If you look back to earlier pictures of Santino, it's obvious that he is growing up with us. Growing up in a shelter is no way to grow up! Santino is 2 years old, if that, and he needs a stable and loving home already. He arrived in August of 2023 as a stray and due to his need for a pet and kid-free home, it's made it difficult for Santino to get discovered. Please don't pass him up! Santino is smart and knows perfectly well to behave, he just needs someone that will direct him. He'll jump and twist and even get a little grabby while playing but he means no harm and if you guide him to behave, he most certainly will. He knows how to walk perfectly on a leash, sit, stay, lay down, and he even takes treats very gently. In a good home with a yard to exercise in and a family to love him, Santino will positively thrive. Please give Santino a chance! Call 609-693-1900 or email: office@ahsppz.org for an application. Story
STATEN ISLAND, NY: Handsome, good-boy Newark is on a mission to find his forever home, where he can shower his family with affection and snuggle up for pets! Charming Newark is 3 years young and weighs 70 lbs. He is affectionate and loves being touched, pet, rubbed, scratched – and is always ready to snuggle! Sadly, he was found as a stray wandering alone on Staten Island before arriving at the city shelter. AmsterDog was able to pull him to safety thanks to his foster, who fell in love with his gorgeous smile and deep, beautiful eyes (he has that effect on people!). Newark has been such a good boy while decompressing, and wow, is he thankful for some cozy blankets and a bed. He has been through a lot so decompression and slow, proper introductions are crucial for this boy’s success. Newark was dog-tested at the shelter and he did well, even going for a walk alongside another dog just fine. He was also around a cat briefly with his original finder and was non-reactive. Newark is food-motivated and easily directed; food is his language, so he will do anything for a treat: he has even already picked up how to sit on command! Newark is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to be your best friend! Newark is an amazing, resilient dog with a regalness about him. Can he wag his tail in your castle? If you can open your heart and home to Newark, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org. Apply to adopt or foster-to-adopt Newark at AmsterDog.org. Thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Story
This beautiful, easy-going girl is Harper. She’s looking for the perfect home to settle into and watch the Phillies (check out her hat)! Her foster family has taught her all about being a good girl and using her manners. She is around 2-3 years old and weighs 65 pounds. She is not a big girl, just muscular and healthy.  Her favorite things (other than her people) are laying in the sun, looking out the door, and taking walks. She is great on leash, but can be strong at times. She loves to cuddle up on the couch for a good movie and relaxing. She is the perfect girl indoors and can be left out without messing with anything. She is crate training too if needed and house trained. She is great in the car and listens well to commands. She is so smart and will learn routines quickly. She is not picky with her treats or toys. She is happy to play fetch in the yard or chew on a bone inside. She will bark if someone comes to the door. She will fit perfectly in any home that’s looking for a sweet dog. She is amazing with kids. While she is not aggressive with other dogs, we think she does prefer to have the house to herself. She will do best in a home without other pets. If you would like to meet her, apply at bcaaofnj.org Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter.
