Originally taken in to help a family in need, Scooby is now at Rockwall Adoption Center and ready to find a forever family of his own. Scooby is a happy-go-lucky, affectionate boy with a goofy personality and a big heart. He loves being around people, thrives in a family environment, and has done very well with children. He enjoys playtime just as much as he enjoys soaking up attention and being close to his humans. He is both housebroken and crate trained, making him a great addition to a home ready for a fun and loving companion. Scooby forms strong bonds with his people and prefers to be the center of attention. Because of this, he would do best as the only pet in the home where he can truly shine and not feel the need to compete for attention. With consistency and structure, he will continue to be a loyal and devoted companion. Scooby is neutered, microchipped, current on his rabies vaccination and basic boosters, and is heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $125. Meet Rupert Â Ready to Finally Belong Rupert is a 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Whippet mix weighing approximately 63 lbs who is more than ready to find the loving home he's been waiting for. After spending 142 days in the shelter as of 04/10/26, he's now one of our Diamond Dogs, and his adoption fee has been reduced to just $75. Rupert's story started with heartbreak- he was found by Rockwall Adoptions staff after being dumped over the front gate overnight. Despite that, he has remained incredibly loving, resilient, and eager to trust again. This handsome boy is friendly, expressive, and loves being around people. Meet Shari! She is a 1yr old spayed female Black Mouth Cur/Boxer mix that weighs 51lbs. She came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter as a stray on 3/30. This sweet girl is a beauty! She appears to have been well cared for and even knows the sit and down commands and appears housetrained. She has such a happy go lucky disposition and a smile you just can`t resist! She loves to play with toys, throws them up in the air and catches them. Shari loves to be petted and loved on. She can be a bit mouthy when she is excited, but with redirection she does well. Having a secured yard to run and play in, will help her run out her energy. She can pull a bit on a leash, yet with plenty of play time she will do much better. Passing other dogs barking at her she didn`t show any interest, yet its best to ask the shelter for a dog test if you have other dogs in the home. Its clear to see how much love she has to give to her own loving family companions. You just can`t go wrong with such a loving girl!
