Story
It's hard to imagine that sweet-as-can-be Ruthie was found on the streets, very pregnant and with a bullet wound to her face. Now that Ruthie has raised her ten puppies and sent them all off to wonderful forever homes and that Ruthie herself has healed, it is her turn to find her very own happily ever after. In short, Ruthie is a 5-year-old, 55-pound "puppy". Between her adorable puppy dog eyes and her extremely playful personality, Ruthie has a true zest for her newfound life. This spunky lady will keep you laughing as she splashes in a doggie pool or does zoomies around the yard. Ruthie brings a lot of energy to the table and would love an active family that can take her on adventures. Being cooped up all day is not the life for this athletic lady! She also likes to keep her mind sharp with lots of puzzles. After playtime, Ruthie loves to curl up on a soft bed-you'll get a kick out of how she even watches TV with her humans! Ruthie is an all around good girl who is potty-trained, crate-trained, and leash-trained. She is eager for her forever humans and promises that she will reward them with a lifetime of love, laughs, and snuggles. Want to make sure Ruthie enjoys the sweet life she deserves? Story
Hi! I am Cocoa! CFR rescued me from the unbearable Texas summer when me and my littermates were found living outside. Since then, I have been able to flourish in a safe foster home and am seeking my forever family. Now I am 15 months old and I love to run, get the zoomies when the weather gets cool My foster mom says I am super smart and have been quick to learn. I use a doggy door now but if that's not open, I know where to scratch on the backdoor to go out; I am quick to learn new routines. I have a sweet temperament and am eager to please - I am still an active puppy, but definitely understand correction. I am fully crate trained, sleeping there at night and even choosing to rest in my crate during the day but I love getting to snuggle in the morning on the big bed with my foster Mom and the big dogs. I have just discovered television shows about animals that I watch with rapt attention. I LOVE to play and run so I need a secure yard to run in. I would do best with older kids because younger kids make me nervous. I get along with other dogs including my two 80# foster sisters. I have not been cat tested, but the rescue can do this before a trial just in case. I am currently a solid 59 pounds and will likely stay medium-sized. Physically, I think I am all grown up. I am fully vetted and ready for a new adventure. I love to run and have long legs so I can run fast. I would love to be your running partner; I would love to go with you on your daily/weekly walks/runs. I patrol the yard for all intruders including those running the 16' back fence. So far, I haven't caught anything except baby rat snakes which I dispatch as quickly as possible. I had a rough start to life, so I am shy at first. Once I know I am safe, I come out of my shell and really like to show love and appreciation. Do I sound like the missing piece of your family? Apply for a trial to meet me today! ##1775632##

Story
Danny is a new arrival from a local shelter.  He is just about perfection!  He is easy going - has good manners, good on a leash, and social.  He is smart - He knows sit.  The shelter said, "he is the sweetest dog of all time".  He is housebroken.  He is a love bug.  He is good with cats and dogs.  He is a great size of an apartment or any living situation for anyone.  He is mellow, dainty and gentle, but super loving.  He is a jewel.  He is around 2 years old and weighs about 55 lbs.. ##2162073##

Story
DAISY and POPPY ARE SIBLINGS. All abandoned in the country. There were originally three and one was adopted on her own. We have had these precious girls many months now, with plenty of opportunities to watch their interactions and play style. While, in general, we do NOT recommend adopting siblings, these two have proven to be the exception to the rule. They LOVE each other and have never, ever had a raised lip, a side-eyed look, a growl or anything else. We would really love for them to be adopted together. HOWEVER, WE WILL CONSIDER ADOPTING THEM SEPARATEY. All the girls are very smart, but Poppy is also the LOVE BUG! She is either kissing you, wagging, or falling down for you to rub her tummy. If Poppy were in high school she would be a cheerleader and probably Queen of the Prom. Her personality is a wonderful match to Daisy's low key independence. For more information on adopting Poppy, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

We laughingly call Daisy the "good sister" because she is low key and wants to please you - obeying whatever you ask. If the sisters were in high school, Daisy would be on the debate team and in honors classes. For more information on adopting Daisy, please email Gail at can.adoptions@yahoo.com.

Story
CONROE TEXAS ---------- Meet beautiful Miss Annie! This sweetheart was dumped in the woods outside Houston and was left to fend for herself. Luckily for her, a most wonderful rescue angel "street feeder" who brings daily food for dogs who have been abandoned, alerted to Annie's plight and we were able to whisk her to safety. Annie's estimated DOB is May 2023. She is spayed and current on vaccinations. Annie did test low positive for heartworms but does not have any symptoms and has no activity restrictions. She is being treated with the slow kill method. She is a strong and healthy girl and should have no lasting health issues. Despite being a former street dog, Annie is in good health and is a happy, outgoing, playful girl. She is great with other dogs and is very friendly with people. Although she was abandoned, she does not seem to have suffered any abuse. Since she is a mix she will be smaller than a purebred Anatolian. She's what we affectionately call a "pocket Anatolian" and will be great for people who have smaller homes/yards or aren't physically able to handle a 100+ pound dog. She will likely top out in the 60 pound range. Annie has not been tested with children, cats or livestock. Since she is an Anatolian MIX, she is looking for a family companion home and is not available as a livestock/working dog. NO LIVESTOCK EXPERIENCE SECURE FENCING REQUIRED Transport assistance may be available within a 1,000 mile radius depending on where you live and the availability of volunteer drivers. Most Anatolians are not well suited to apartment living.
