Meet Max! He is a 1 yr old neutered male German Pinscher/Doberman Pinscher that weighs 66lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 10/14 as an owner surrender. Reason given was he had too many animals, and Max was a big pup. He has been very well cared for, clean soft fur, and may be housetrained. He is an extremely handsome boy, and always has a smile on his face. Despite being left at the shelter, he has an upbeat, happy go lucky personality. And such a silly playful side too. He found a stuffed toy and he threw it up in the air and bounced around the shelter yard. He walks well on a leash and takes treats gently. On occasion he does get excited and will try to jump, yet he can be quickly redirected with the sit command. Very smart pup! He hopes he can find a loving family with a secured yard, take him for walks and enrichment, shower him with plenty of stuffed toys and be close and cuddly with his human companions inside on his own dog bed. Tho he had no reaction to other dogs barking at him, we do ask if there is another dog in the home please ask the shelter for a dog test. Come meet this wonderful boy!!

Vincent is an approximately 11-month-old Catahoula mix who is now officially available for adoption at the Rockwall Adoption Center after never being reclaimed. He was originally found on 11/22/25 near Corporate Crossing in Rockwall, and despite being microchipped, we were unfortunately unable to reach an owner. Vincent is a neutered male and is fully up to date on his medical care, including: Microchip Rabies vaccination DAPPV vaccination Bordetella vaccine Heartworm negative This young guy is still in his puppy stage and has a lot of love, energy, and potential to offer the right family. With continued guidance, enrichment, and affection, Vincent is sure to grow into an amazing companion. Adoption Fee: $125 This fee helps cover his veterinary care and prepares him for a healthy start in his new home. If you're ready to give Vincent the loving future he deserves, please submit an adoption application online or contact the Rockwall Adoption Center for more information.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Now that his stray hold has expired, Rupert is officially ready to find a forever home where he will be valued, safe, and loved for life. Rupert is an approximately 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Whippet mix who weighs under 50 lbs. He is friendly, expressive, and eager to bond with people. Though we don't have any background information on him, Rupert has shown us that he is smart, attentive, and ready to learn. With structure, patience, and kindness, he will blossom into a loyal companion. His adoption fee is $125. Rupert is neutered, current on his rabies vaccination, boosters to date, microchipped and heartworm negative. Rupert deserves a soft landing after a tough start, and he's ready to begin his new chapter with a family who will give him the love and stability he has been missing.
