Story
Meet Cooper 🐾 Cooper joined our family in October 2024 after being born on September 1, 2024, as part of an unexpected litter. We brought him home as a playful, happy puppy, and he quickly became part of our family. He has grown up alongside our other dog and is house and kennel trained. Shortly after bringing Cooper home, we became pregnant. As our family grew and time became more limited, we realized Cooper has higher needs than we can currently meet. Cooper is a young, energetic dog who thrives on attention, activity, and engagement. He knows basic commands and enjoys being active but needs more daily interaction and structure. Lately, he has been whining for attention and has had occasional kennel accidents, which we believe are due to his age and energy level. He would do best in an active home that can provide daily exercise, continued training, and consistent attention. He is social with other dogs, very active, and familiar with a home routine.

Story
Lucky to Love Clover They say three-leaf clovers are a sign of simple, everyday luck… and our Clover is living proof that sometimes three is pure magic. This fun-sized tripod may only have three legs, but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit. Clover zooms, plays, and prances through life with the biggest smile and the brightest spirit. She’s proof that you don’t need four leaves — or four legs — to be extraordinary.Clover’s favorite things? Belly rubs that last forever, cozy cuddles on the couch, and sticking close to her people. She loves being part of the action and will happily be your little shadow, soaking up attention and giving it right back. All Clover needs now is her lucky charm — a family to call her own. And honestly? The real luck will belong to whoever gets to love this sweet girl every day. Adopt Clover and add a little extra luck to your life.History: Clover was originally adopted from OHAR in 2022, and for a while, she was living her happily-ever-after. When her family welcomed a new baby, Clover welcomed that tiny human with her whole heart. True to her loyal nature, she became very protective. She adored her little sibling so much that she simply couldn’t understand why other people needed to get so close. In Clover’s mind, she was just doing her job — keeping her precious baby safe from all those “suspicious” hands reaching in.Unfortunately, that protective instinct became a little too much for the growing family’s needs. And so, through no fault of her own, sweet Clover made her way back to OHAR.She didn’t lose her loving heart — she just needs the right environment where she can thrive and feel secure. Clover is still the same cuddly, belly-rub-loving, fun-sized tripod who wants nothing more than to be close to her people. Now she’s waiting for her next lucky chapter… one that understands her loyalty is one of her very best qualities.Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family! Learn more at ohar.org/adoptionprocess

Story
Meet Rupert - A Diamond Dog Ready to Finally Belong Rupert has been patiently waiting for his forever family and, as of 02/17/26, officially became a Diamond Dog, meaning he's been available for adoption for 90 days or more. To help him find his home, his adoption fee is now just $75. This handsome 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Whippet mix weighs under 50 pounds and is the perfect blend of gentle and playful. While his early story is unknown, what's clear is that Rupert is more than ready to trade shelter life for a soft bed and a family to call his own. Rupert is friendly, expressive, and loves being around people. He's smart, attentive, and eager to learn, making him a wonderful companion for a family willing to continue building his confidence and routine. He enjoys other dogs, especially those who can match his playful energy, and a meet and greet is recommended to ensure a good fit. Rupert is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative - fully ready to head home. After months of waiting, Rupert is ready for his fresh start. All he needs now is someone to choose him. Story
Vincent - Our Diamond Dog Ready to Shine in His Forever Home Say hello to Vincent, an approximately 1-year-old Catahoula mix weighing 56 lbs who has officially earned his Diamond Dog status. That means he has been a shelter resident for 90 days or longer - and his adoption fee is now just $75. Vincent has the looks that turn heads and a personality that fills the room. Found near Corporate Crossing in Rockwall on 11/22/25, he was microchipped, but sadly his owner was never located. Since then, he's been patiently waiting for his second chance. Still very much a puppy at heart, Vincent is full of energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm for life. He's smart, playful, and thrives on interaction and activity. With continued training, structure, and positive outlets for his energy, Vincent is going to grow into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. Vincent is looking to be the only dog in the home so he can soak up all the attention and fully bond with his people. He would also do best in a home without cats. Think of him as a one-pet household superstar who wants all the love - and all the toys - to himself. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and up to date on his rabies, DAPPV, and Bordetella vaccinations. After 90+ days of waiting, Vincent is more than ready for his forever family. Vincent as of 02/20/26 is now a Diamond Dog. If you're looking for a fun, energetic, one-and-only companion who will keep life exciting and your heart full, Vincent may be your perfect match. Diamond Dog Adoption Fee: $75 Apply to adopt Vincent here: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ Let's help this Diamond Dog finally find the home he deserves.  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX.
