Story

Meet Honey! Honey is a 5-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix weighing approximately 55 pounds who was surrendered to Rockwall Adoptions after her owners were no longer able to care for her. Honey would do best in a calm, quiet home with older children where she can settle in and enjoy a more relaxed environment. She is great on leash and loves to experience the outdoors with her family. She absolutely loves the water! She is very much a water dog, so a family who enjoys spending time camping, hiking or around water could be a great fit for her. Honey is already spayed, microchipped, current on her rabies vaccination and basic boosters, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $125. If you think Honey may be the right fit for your home, please submit an online application at: https://rockwalladoptions.com/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. October 12, 2026, 6:39 pm

Story

Mr. Blue is a sweet, senior, and incredibly smart dog who has been part of our family for the past eight years. He was once first on the euthanasia list, but we rescued him and gave him the life he deserved. As our family has grown with little ones, it has become increasingly difficult to give him the same quality of life he once enjoyed. He thrives on dog parks, beaches, long walks, and plenty of attention. I am looking for a person or couple who has the time, space, and heart to give him the love and adventure he’s used to. I will cover all of his healthcare costs for the rest of his life. My only goal is to find him a truly loving home. He is fully vaccinated and currently has no known medical concerns. He’s neutered, house trained, crate trained, and does very well with children. He regularly socializes with three familiar dogs, though he can show aggression toward unfamiliar large male dogs. Anyone interested will need to complete an interview and a to ensure he’s placed safe
