Story

Duke is a fun-loving thick guy with a tail like a whip!  Duke is very strong and has bursts of high energy during play.  He loves to chew, and tug-o-war is his favorite game!  He loves to chase (and destroy) tennis balls, and has a high drive to chase in general.  Duke does well with other friendly dogs, especially given the opportunity to do a slow introduction.  He has an intense energy while playing, but absolutely loves it.  For the right dog he would make a great companion.  However, Duke is also happy to be the only dog in a home.  He loves to share the bed with his people, and will always let you know if there is a stranger at the gate or someone at the door!  He's a great alert dog.  He enjoys sunbathing and snacks, and does very well when getting his nails dremmels and trimmed.  Duke has opened up to new people significantly since arriving with us, and is crate trained.  He responds well to correction from both humans and other dogs.  He does NOT do well with cats!  Duke is stronger than he thinks, and will sometimes run into things and trip overhimself.  It's funny most of the time, but he can be a bit of a bull in a china cabinet lol. Duke could use some work on leash training, but is house broken and doesn't get into many things he shouldn't as long as he has his toys to play with.  :). If you're interested in meeting this baby, please reach out or submit an application on our website. Hannah is a 3.5 year old, 93 lb Rottie/Dobie mix. Please don't let the breed mix concern you. Hannah is a is a big, beautiful, friendly, happy, sweetheart of a dog! Hannah was in a happy home, but her person was transferred overseas, and he couldn't take her with him. We promised him that we would find a wonderful home for Hannah. She is settling in very nicely at her foster home. She gets along great with other large dogs, but maybe not so much with very small dogs. She could easily be an only dog, too. Hannah loves her people, and would do best in a home where her people are not gone for long periods of time. She has excellent leash manners and would make a great walking, running or hiking partner. She also loves squeaky toys, belly rubs, and her big comfy bed. She loves to chase tennis balls and will actually bring them back.....sometimes. Dahlia is a 3 year old, 40 lb Cattle Dog (Red Heeler) mix. Foster mom says that Dahlia is absolutely perfect! She is such a well behaved dog and easy going. She is very shy at first and will need time to decompress in a new setting, but after a few days she will start to show her easy going personality. She LOVES people and will follow you wherever you go. Dahlia has the perfect temperament for kids, even littles. She is happy sleeping on the floor next to your bed at night. She also gets along with the dogs and cat that are in her current foster home. She is fully potty trained and can be trusted to roam the house if her people have to leave for a few hours. She loves to go on walks and does great on the leash, but be careful when introducing her to other dogs while on leash, as she does get anxious.. Other than that, she is guaranteed to be a great family dog as she is just full of love!
