Story
ADORES NONSTOP HEAD MASSAGES AND CHEEK SCRATCHES DOB 4/13/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Pluto, a sweet, friendly, and loving Bombay mix gal with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat. True to a Bombay’s nature, I’m a certified Velcro kitty who loves to stick right next to my Foster Meowmy or follow her wherever she goes. When she walks into the foster room, I’m the first of my seven foster mates to greet her. To show my delight in seeing her, I immediately drop my whole body on its side or rub my pheromones on her hands and ankles. I can be a cuddle bug as long as she’s massaging my head or scratching my cheeks, chin, and ears nonstop. Although I’m not a huge fan of being held, I prefer for Foster Meowmy to hold me to her chest with my paws over her shoulder. After my feral momma birthed Karma, Jupiter, Opal, and me outside of Foster Meowmy’s house, Momma moved us through an open window to inside a neighbor’s car . . . and then again a few doors down to a used-car business. Imagine Foster Meowmy’s surprise when she looked inside an old car and found not only us under the driver’s seat but also another litter of four kittens under the passenger’s seat!! When we were five weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy gathered up both of our stowaway litters and brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home. You can imagine the mayhem that eight kittens can wreak inside our foster room! Although I will tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my siblings, I really prefer to spend my time lounging. We’ve all got a little mischief in our genes because we love to escape the foster room to sniff around and explore other parts of the house, but I’m usually the mastermind with the most ingenious plan to lead my siblings in our jailbreak. Now I’m ready to bring the sleek, shiny beauty and Velcro-stickiness of a Bombay to my forever family. Could that be you? Then arrange to meet me today! If you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other #car-stowaways. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted in pairs so we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. HOPE ID 25-0614-A048 Pluto is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. TUGS ON YOUR HEARTSTRINGS DOB 6/15/22 Meet Taco! This beautiful black kitty was found with a rumbling tummy outside a taco truck — so naturally, her name is Taco! Now safe and cozy in her foster home, Taco is living her best life and enjoying all the good things: soft blankets, chin scratches, and sunny windowsills. Taco is a gentle soul with a sweet personality. She gets along with both cats and dogs, but like any lady with standards, she may need a little time to settle into a new place. Once she does, she’ll reward you with purrs, head boops, and quiet companionship. If you're looking for a classy little foodie with a big heart, Taco might be the perfect match! HOPE ID 24-0309-G058 Taco is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. OBSESSED WITH CATNIP DOB 4/1/25 Hey there, everyone! I’m Onyx, a sweet, energetic, and very playful Bombay mix fella with copper-penny eyes and a sleek, shiny black-patent leather coat. When I relax on Foster Meowmy’s bed, I’m one of the best biscuit-makers you could ever find, especially if it’s in response to her nonstop head massages and cheek/ chin/ and ear scratches. I even enjoy “bongo time,” when she pats my bum. By the way, I’m obsessed with rolling around in and snacking on catnip. True confessions: although I secretly love attention and will tolerate some cuddle time, I absolutely abhor being held and will immediately squirm around until I can get down. My feral momma birthed Obsidian, Jasper, Topaz, and me underneath the seat of an old car parked in a used-car business. Foster Meowmy’s finding us when we were only about three weeks old might never have happened if she hadn’t been trying to rescue the other set of kittens whom another feral momma had birthed outside of Foster Meowmy’s house. The other momma had moved her litter from Meowmy’s yard to a few doors down to the used-car business. Imagine Meowmy’s surprise when she found not only the kittens she’d been tracking under the driver’s seat but also my litter under the passenger’s seat!! When we were five weeks old and could eat on our own, Foster Meowmy gathered up both of our stowaway litters and brought us all inside to the safe haven of her home. You can imagine the mayhem that eight kittens can wreak inside our foster room! We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we’re exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle. I can be a bit of a menace when I chase my siblings even when they don’t feel like playing, so then I release my energy by playing with the resident two-year-old cat. Paradoxically, I like my own space from the gang, so I spend my “time outs” resting at the peak of the bathroom cabinet or the cat tree, where I enjoy bird-watching out the window. Now I’m ready to bring my stunning good looks, expert biscuit-making and mischievous energy to my forever family. Could that be you? Arrange to meet me today, and if you’re looking for a pair of kittens, please consider adopting me with one of the other #car-stowaways. We think it’d be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted as a pair so we could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re at work or on vacation. Story
Rescued her and her brother from their litter which occurred in an unideal living environment. Neela will be 2 years old at the end of May, however she is constantly under stress living with her brother and our third (eldest cat ). She eats very fast and is constantly watching her back . She definitely needs a lot more attention and play than what we can offer her currently . She’s very allergic to fleas (will scratch until bleeding) which is why I think she would benefit from solo living for a while if possible to slow down her pace and lessen her anxiety. She’s sweet if you have the time to coach her through trust activities. Otherwise she’s very shy and keeps to herself .

Story
I’m looking to rehome a male cat who is approximately 3–4 years old. My former roommate disappeared and never returned, leaving him behind. Unfortunately, he does not get along with my cat, so he would do best in a home without other pets. He is very vocal and has a strong personality. He is not a cuddler and doesn’t enjoy being held at first, but once he warms up, he will seek out pets and attention. He enjoys window watching and observing his surroundings. He prefers dry food only and does not like wet food, including tuna for some odd reason. He is currently an indoor/outdoor cat but was indoor-only for about two years and could adjust back to that lifestyle. If outdoor access is planned, he should remain indoors for at least three months after adoption so he can acclimate to his new home. He is microchipped, and I will transfer all information once the adoption is finalized. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Meet Sachi! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/cat Sachi's story began with hardship- She was found abandoned and sick, struggling to survive on her own. Thanks to the dedication of her rescuers, she received the care and love she needed to heal. Today, she is healthy, thriving, and ready to find the forever home she truly deserves. Sachi doesn't fuss much about anything-she's the kind of kitten who takes life in stride. Whether it's a busy household with children, other pets running around, or a quiet evening curled up on the couch, she's simply happy to be near her people. Her soft purr and relaxed nature make her the prefect addition to almost any family. If you're looking for a calm, sweet kitten who will fit right into your heart and home, Sachi is waiting to meet you! Sachi is ~6 months old, spayed, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and in great health. She does a great job of keeping her litterbox tidy. All she needs now is her forever home! We believe slow introductions to a calm, cat-savvy pup, we think she could learn to love a new dog friend. Sachi does great with other cats, kids, and even dogs in the foster home. Sachi would thrive if adopted with one of her foster siblings. Priority will be given to applicants interested in adopting a pair of kittens or who have patient, playful resident cats or dogs at home. Information on why adopting two kittens together is best for their short- and long-term health and behavior can be found here: http://www.kittenlady.org/twokittens Sachi is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, or locations along their route. Story
Meet Clementine!! This girl is looking for her forever home for the new year!! Adoption Application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/cat Clementine joined our foster program after being found with a new litter of kittens by a Good Samaritan! Her babies are all weaned now, and she is ready for her forever home. Clementine is approximately 2yrs old. She loves to be near her person getting the pets she definitely deserves. Clementine is so sweet and calm, but we think she will be quite playful in her forever home. She can be a bit sensitive about being pet on her hind end, so she is best with older kids and cat-savvy people. She would be an excellent only cat, or will do just fine with a buddy or friendly resident cat. She definitely prefers to keep her "clan" small though after raising litters of kittens all on her own -- who can blame her?! This lovely little lady is such a joy and will be a great addition to a calm, cat-savvy household. She's sweet as can be, ready to give love and snuggles, and is hoping for someone to give her a chance this holiday season! Could that person be you? --- Clementine will be microchipped, spayed, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. She is in excellent health! The adoption application can be found here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ROSE/Cat Clementine is currently in Houston, Texas but can be transported to the Northeast, the Pacific Northwest, or locations along these routes. ——— ABOUT OUR ADOPTION FEES: When you adopt from ROSES Rescues, you're doing more than giving your new family member a home. Each adoption fee pays for a cat on the streets of Houston to get fixed, helping end the cycle of overpopulation in a rough environment. We thank you so much for your contribution to our efforts!
