Story
Hi, I'm Moonie-a 2-year-old Border Collie mix with a whole lot of personality packed into my adorable 35-pound frame. I recently made the journey from a shelter in LA to Woods to help make room for pets affected by the fires. Now, I'm ready to find my forever home and show you just how special I am!I'm incredibly smart, eager to please, and absolutely love learning new things-especially when treats are involved. Training with me is a blast because I'm so food-motivated and quick to pick up on anything you want to teach me. When we first meet, I might be a little shy, but give me a few minutes (and maybe a snack or two), and I'll be right by your side, ready for whatever fun comes next. Here's something important: I need to be your one and only dog. Other dogs make me nervous, and I'll be happiest in a home where I can soak up all the love and attention for myself. Trust me, with my big heart, clever mind, and endless sweetness, I'll be all the dog you'll ever need.If you're ready for a loyal, playful, and seriously adorable best friend, I'm ready to meet you! Come visit me at Woods in SLO any day from 12-4 p.m. Primary Color: Black Brindle Secondary Color: Tri Color Weight: 36 Age: 2yrs 2mths 4wks

Story
Hi, I'm Sunny-and while my name might bring to mind warm days and happy skies, I've spent far too much of my young life in the shelter. I've been through a lot already for a dog my age, and though I've handled it all with quiet resilience, it's time I finally get the soft landing I've been waiting for.I'm a sweet, sensitive girl who may take a little time to open up, but once I feel safe, you'll see how much love I've been holding onto. I'm playful in the softest, sweetest way-zooming gently across the yard, wagging my tail with joy, and melting into affection from people I trust. I'm not the kind of dog who demands attention-I'm the kind who quietly hopes for it.I may not jump up and bark for your attention, but I'll be the one who stays close by your side, who looks up at you with calm eyes, and who will be endlessly grateful just to be loved.I'm spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and so ready to leave this place behind and finally experience what it means to be home. Come to Woods in SLO to meet me, any day from 12-4pm! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 48.4 Age: 0yrs 11mths 0wks

Story
Max is a 13, purebred classic border collie from working lines. He's neutered and up-to-date on vaccines. Max has a bit of a hitch in the giddyup but he still has plenty of get up & go, eager to go for a walk or whatever you are doing. He has some issues with rain/wind/storms and tends to hide, otherwise he is head-on-your knee loving attention! Max gets along with other dogs, kids & cats, but he will need some TLC in his senior years.

Story
Rain just turned 4-years-old and she is such a sweetie pie! Her love language is physical touch as she loves to be pet and cuddle close. If your hands are not busy, she will get you to pet her! Rain is very athletic. She loves to go for walks but prefers to be off-leash and she comes when you call her name. She loves to run around and she is so fast. She's not really interested in playing fetch. She likes to play with other dogs at the dog park and beach. She does jump up on familiar humans when she is excited. We were her second family and we have had her for about 2 years. She gets along well with other dogs but can be aggressive for food or attention. Sometimes she is slow-to-warm with other dogs but she loves all humans. She is very adventurous and eager to please. Would make an excellent emotional support animal.
