Story
I don’t know what happened to her before I got her, but she has a lot of fear and anxiety. When I first started caring for her, she made great progress, especially when gently socializing with other dogs. Having another calm dog around really helped her confidence. She has never been aggressive—she may bark at unfamiliar people, but it’s always from fear. Loud noises also make her shake. Because of recent health and family issues, I can’t give her the stable, quiet home she needs, and her anxiety has gotten worse. She has all her shots and takes a monthly flea pill. She recently became so stressed that she stopped eating and drinking consistently, and pushing her seemed to make it worse. I believe her struggles are environmental, not medical. She is a very sweet, gentle dog who wants to feel safe. I’m hoping to find a patient home, ideally with another friendly dog, where she can rebuild her confidence and enjoy life again.

Story
Duke will be 3 years old in October. He is a Border Collie/German Shepherd mix and came from a litter of 10 puppies. We adopted him during a visit to our local outdoor market, where a man was looking for loving homes for the puppies.Duke is a sweet, gentle, and affectionate boy. He loves getting pats and back scratches and especially enjoys playing chase with his sister, Gypsy, and his human sister. He has a playful personality and loves spending time with those around him.Because of my allergies to their fur, Duke has always been an outdoor dog. He is a good boy who deserves a loving home where he will receive attention, affection, exercise, and care. This is a difficult decision, and I hope to find him a wonderful family who will love him and give him the happy life he deserves.

We adopted her during a visit to our local outdoor market, where a man was looking for loving homes for the puppies.Gypsy is a sweet, playful girl with lots of personality. She loves belly rubs, running, jumping, and playing chase with her brother, Duke. She enjoys being active and having someone to play with.Because of my allergies to their fur, Gypsy has always been an outdoor dog. She is a good girl who deserves a loving home where she will receive plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and care. This is a very difficult decision, but my hope is to find her a wonderful family who will love and care for her as much as we have.

Let’s address the elephant in the room, shall we?Meet Rex, a very deserving boy in need of a forever home.  Rex was rescued and safely trapped by one of our volunteers after surviving days wandering dangerously near traffic. Since coming into rescue, we’ve made sure he received everything he needed — neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, deworming, and microchip. Now let’s be honest: while Rex may not be a Labrador, he still deserves the same chance at love, safety, and a family of his own. Right now, he is taking up space desperately needed for incoming Labradors, and we truly need help finding him the perfect home. Rex is a sweet, mellow guy who knows several commands, takes treats gently, appears housebroken, and just wants someone to finally choose him. His story: REX NEEDS A HERO — PLEASE READ & SHARE Rex is alive today by pure luck. For days, this sweet boy wandered in the middle of the road on Sample–Pittman Hill in Clovis… cars flying past him, coming within inches of his life. Over and over again, he returned to the same spot — confused, waiting… for someone who never came back.No food.No water. No one looking for him.We believe Rex was dumped. And somehow, despite everything, he is still one of the kindest, gentlest dogs you could ever meet. ❤️Rex is about 4 years old, an Aussie-Husky mix, around 65 lbs. He knows commands like sit, stay, shake, and down. He takes treats gently, appears housebroken, and has a calm, loving demeanor. He will be best as an only loving dog, no cats please. This boy deserved so much better than what he got.But we can still change his story.Rex is now safe. He will be fully vetted — vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. What he needs now… is someone to choose him.A home.A family.A second chance. Very small rehoming fee to the right match. Please — help us make sure Rex never has to wait on the side of the road again.   If you are interested in adopting through Labrador Retriever Rescue of Fresno, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located at our website www.LabRescueFresno.org All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines including rabies; flea/tick topical drops, heartworm tested and microchipped. Thank you for opting to adopt!!    Adoption Fee: Puppies, (2 years of age and under) – $400.00 Adult Dog, (3 through 8 years of age) – $350.00 Senior Dogs (9 years and up) – $200.00 Special consideration may be granted for dogs with medical needs or bonded pairs.   September 6, 2026, 12:49 pm
