Story
Lynott who also goes by Leonard is a 5 year old male Border collie/German shepherd mix. He is 50lbs. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. He is housebroken. He currently lives in an apartment with a smaller female dog (spayed) and a female kitten (spayed). They all get along well, but Lynott needs more mental stimulation and exercise. He needs a home with a large backyard or farm. My bf and I are having trouble finding the time to take him to the park because our conflicting schedules. Our female dog is a total couch potato and Lynott needs another high energy friend.

Story
Willow is a 10 month old border collie female mix. She was given to us by family, unfortunately we do not have the space to continue to house her. Willow is highly and extremely energetic. She is friendly and does amazing with meeting new people and loves children. She can be timid around dogs. Needs exposure. She loves running, playing with chew toys. This breed of dog requires a lot of mental stimulation. Willow gets bored easily when not stimulated. She needs a large area to run and play and an owner who is confident and willing to give her the attention she deserves. Willow has been trained to stay outdoors and sleeps indoors in a crate overnight. She is not house trained as she is not allowed to freely roam in the inside of a house. Willow potty’s outside and can hold her potty overnight while in the crate. Willow is learning to be leash trained but has issues with pulling and jumping. Willow is still nipping and needs strong training to contain her excitement.

Story
Meet Abby, a 1-year-old Border Collie mix weighing about 50 pounds. 🐾 She appears to be a Border Collie mix to us, but that’s always just our best guess based on looks. Abby is a very sweet girl who can be shy with new people and has what we call a little “stranger danger.” She takes some time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, she settles in nicely. Abby is also not a needy dog, making her a great match for someone who prefers a more independent companion. Abby was surrendered to our local shelter when she was still very young, back in July, and spent a few months there before we were able to bring her to ACT. While we don’t know much about her early life, she has done well since coming into our care. Abby really enjoys other dogs and gains confidence from them. She would likely do best in a home with another friendly dog and will happily become a best friend for your current pup. 🐶 Abby is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her age-appropriate vaccines. 🏡 She’s looking for a patient home that will give her time to adjust and continue building confidence. If you’re looking for a sweet, dog-friendly companion who isn’t overly demanding, Abby may be a great fit.

She loves people and other dogs, and has no sense of personal space. While good with dogs, she does like to chase other animals. She is house trained and used to sleeping inside the home, though lacks other training. She has never shown any signs of aggression to children or adults, nor any food or toy possessiveness. Shes a really smart and good dog. We are looking to rehome due to financial and familial reasons and she deserves a family who has the time and energy to stimulate her brain and tire her out.
