Story
Say hello to Abby! 🐾 This gorgeous girl might be a border collie mix (our best guess!), but what really stands out are her sparkling blue eyes and her infectious joy. Abby is sweet, loving, and always ready to play — the kind of pup who turns even an ordinary day into something special. Whether she's romping around with her toys or giving kisses to everyone she meets, Abby brings a playful spark that’s impossible to resist. 💙 She’s friendly with people and dogs alike, full of bouncy energy and love to spare. Abby seems to have never met a stranger — just future best friends! While we can’t say for certain what her breed mix is, one thing we know for sure: she’s 100% heart. If you're looking for a joyful companion who will brighten your life, Abby might just be your perfect match. 🐶✨

Story
I don’t know what happened to her before I got her, but she has a lot of fear and anxiety. When I first started caring for her, she made great progress, especially when gently socializing with other dogs. Having another calm dog around really helped her confidence. She has never been aggressive—she may bark at unfamiliar people, but it’s always from fear. Loud noises also make her shake. Because of recent health and family issues, I can’t give her the stable, quiet home she needs, and her anxiety has gotten worse. She has all her shots and takes a monthly flea pill. She recently became so stressed that she stopped eating and drinking consistently, and pushing her seemed to make it worse. I believe her struggles are environmental, not medical. She is a very sweet, gentle dog who wants to feel safe. I’m hoping to find a patient home, ideally with another friendly dog, where she can rebuild her confidence and enjoy life again.

Story
This pet is part of the rehoming program and is not in the care of the CCSPCA. Please read carefully and reach out to the owner directly via cell: 925-809-5537 or email:victoriajett20@gmail.com. The owner states, “ I am a new mom who’s been uprooted from an alcoholic relationship. I have to stay with family for awhile and restart life. My dog is about 11 years old. He’s a border collie mix. He can be hyper but he also loves to lay around. He’s never bitten anyone or any dog. He will surrender if another dog comes at him. He loves squeaky toys. He doesn’t play with other dogs but doesn’t mind having them around. He’s vocal, he growls when he’s playing and happy. But he is absolutely not mean. He does a happy dance when it’s dinner time. He knows a lot of tricks. He’s very smart and listens well. Our home is mostly quiet. Other dogs on the other side of the fence and he doesn’t care. He’s a people lover. ” Due to the pet not being in our care, it is out of our control when and if the owner responds to your inquiry. Thank you.

Story
She showed up on my front lawn about 5 months ago. We posted on the lost pet pages, but no one has claimed her. She didn't have an microchip but does now. We are fostering her, and we would like to find her a home. We already have 4 dogs and can't keep her. Here's what we know about her: ~ border collie mix. ~ about a year old. ~ had her first round of shots. ~ has been spayed. ~ likes playing with my dogs. ~ likes to cuddle. ~ enjoys going on walks. When she arrived, she took a few days to warm up to us. She was skinny and hungry. If you want to adopt her, please understand that it will take a few days to earn her trust. I only bring it up because I want to set expectations before the first introduction. If someone interested in this sweet girl, please reach out. I'm happy to answer any questions.
