We are fostering her, but we would like to find her a home. Heres what We know about her: ~ border collie mix. ~ about a year old. ~ had her first round of shots. ~ has been spayed. ~ likes playing with my dogs. ~ likes to cuddle. ~ enjoys going on walks. Kassidy, my sweet girl, where do I start. You have had it bad since the day you were born and you cannot seem to catch a break. As a puppy you had parvo and you fought so hard to survive and you did. Then you were adopted and taken out of state with your family when they realized their senior dog was not as welcoming to you as they thought. They continued to try but returned you. Then you were adopted again but that too did not work out either, at no fault of your own. So we sent you to the PAW Prison Training Program where you quickly became attached to your handler and he learned how smart you are. You learned many commands such as sit, shake, down, lay, rollover, stay, come, heel, leave it, crawl, get it, sit pretty, and more. So why is Kassidy still available? Because it will take a special person to understand that she wants to be with her people and she is the best girl! She can have some separation anxiety but it is only because she wants to get back to you and that is it. She is not destructive as she just wants to get back to you and her family. Can't decide between a Shepherd or a Cattle dog? Meet Freyja, a Cattle dog in a petite Shepherd suit. The perfect combo of loyal and smart from both breeds. Cattle dog experience is a plus! Freyja came to us as a mama. She was a calm, patient and affectionate mama to her 9 babies. Once her babies weaned we could see her personality shine more. She engaged in play and keep away with them, often stealing their toys to get them to chase her. She is about 50 lbs now that she has filled out after fully weaning her babies. She has put on muscle and is really a beauty. She is an affectionate dog who is very brave and she's always curious about what's going on around her. She can be a bit protective at times but will listen to correction. She will need someone who can continue to guide her into the fabulous dog she is becoming. Most of our rescues have had a hard life and need help and guidance to learn good behavior. We think Freyja is the perfect candidate, she looks up to her person for direction. She can also be a total goofball who loves to make her humans laugh. She loves to play with toys, and she's an expert at giving her paw. When first in her foster home Freya had prey drive interest in cats and wanted to chase. With strict supervision she is learning to be more trustworthy around cats. If you're ready for a new best friend who loves to cuddle after burning off some energy, then Freyja is the pup for you! Freyja is being fostered in Hollister.
