Story
Rex is a beautiful, very loving Border Collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix. We have had Rex for 4 years. He just recently has had some aggression issues with our new mailman and a stranger who visited our farm. We are fairly confidant it is hearding/ protection behavior issue. We will stress we have had no issues until recently. He loves to cuddle on the couch with a family friend. As a side note we have had big annual family reunions out here with no issues. He is micro chipped, neutered and is up to date on his vaccinations. Thanks Much, Tod

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Capitan is the sweetest little boy.  Well not super little, he is probably around 25-30 pounds now and will most likely get a little bigger.  We are unsure of his breed, he looks like he has border collie in him but probably also some terrier, maybe lab, his coloring suggests dalmatian.  He is amazing with other dogs and kids, loves to snuggle.  We are not sure how he would be with cats in his home but at our events he doesn't even seem to notice them so he probably won't care.  He is working on potty training but is crate trained and does pretty well on a leash.  He loves the water and mud so heads up.  One thing you need to know...he is deaf, and mostly blind, he lost one eye (congenital issue and it was removed), the other eye is not great either.  We think he can see shadows because he navigates his surroundings just fine, even when he is in a new place.  He would benefit from someone who has experience with a deaf and blind dog as training is difficult since he can't hear.  But he is so easy going he would be fine as long as his people do their research and learn with him.  Otherwise he is healthy, he is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 To adopt Capitan, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 10:58 am

Story
Muffin: The Little Moonbeam Learning to ShineMuffin is a 2-year-old Collie mix (our best guess!) with a soft, sensitive spirit and a heart that’s just waiting for the right home to help it glow. Like a shy moon peeking out from behind the clouds, she’s still learning that the world can be a safe, loving place. New people, new environments, and loud noises can make her unsure— but Muffin has the most endearing way of asking for comfort… she gently melts to the ground, rolls onto her back, and offers her belly as if to say, “please be kind to me.” And when you are? She soaks it up completely.Muffin’s Soft-Soul Traits: Very shy at first, but incredibly sweet underneath. Professional belly-up reassurance seeker. Gaining confidence a little more each day. Starting to show playful sparks in a calm setting. Does well with mellow, gentle dog friends. May respond to Spanish—we think she’s bilingual!Muffin isn’t looking for a busy or chaotic home. She needs a peaceful place, patient people, and lots of reassurance to help her feel safe. But if you give her that space and love, you’ll get to witness something truly special—her transformation. Slowly, quietly, beautifully… she’ll begin to shine.Dogs: Calm dog friendlyCats: UnknownKids: Maybe, she`s met a few she liked!
