Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Capitan is the sweetest little boy.  Well not super little, he is probably around 25-30 pounds now and will most likely get a little bigger.  We are unsure of his breed, he looks like he has border collie in him but probably also some terrier, maybe lab, his coloring suggests dalmatian.  He is amazing with other dogs and kids, loves to snuggle.  We are not sure how he would be with cats in his home but at our events he doesn't even seem to notice them so he probably won't care.  He is working on potty training but is crate trained and does pretty well on a leash.  He loves the water and mud so heads up.  One thing you need to know...he is deaf, and mostly blind, he lost one eye (congenital issue and it was removed), the other eye is not great either.  We think he can see shadows because he navigates his surroundings just fine, even when he is in a new place.  He would benefit from someone who has experience with a deaf and blind dog as training is difficult since he can't hear.  But he is so easy going he would be fine as long as his people do their research and learn with him.  Otherwise he is healthy, he is fixed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400 To adopt Capitan, fill out an application at www.kakf.org/formsVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 23, 2025, 10:48 am

Story
Born: April 20, 2025 I am seeking my forever home! Adoption Donation: $600 Brady is a young puppy who deserves the chance to grow up in a loving home. After being abandoned on the side of the road with his five littermates, he came to us for a fresh start and the opportunity to experience the safety and care every puppy should know. All of Brady’s siblings have found their forever homes, and now he’s patiently waiting for his turn. He’s still a puppy with so much ahead of him — ready to learn, bond, and grow alongside a family of his own. Brady is looking for a home that will give him the love, guidance, and stability he’s been waiting for. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, joy, and the chance to watch him blossom into a wonderful companion. All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Lacey! Lacey is a 5 month old Hound/Border Collie mix with love to share. She can be timid at first, but don't let that fool you! Once she is comfortable, her joy for life shines through. She loves to play, is extremely smart, and wants to learn.    Lacey is potty trained, crate trained, and has good behavior in the house- no chewing here! She knows sit, lay down, up up to get back up, off, drop it, crate, outside, look at me (she sits then looks before eating), and is still working on come and wait.   She has been living in a home with a cat, other dogs, and young children. Although she loves everyone, it is recommended that Lacey find a home with older children, and other dogs that will be okay with Lacey wanting to be in charge. Training experience with border collies, or herding breeds, is preferred. Lacey would thrive in an active household.
