Story
Kobe is 6 years old and we adopted him in 2020 when he was 8 weeks old. He has separation anxiety and requires medication to be crated and has been destructive when left in an enclosed area for a long period of time. He’s an extremely sweet and smart dog and learns extremely quick. You are able to take away his food without aggression and he plays with other dogs well. We recently had a baby, and he’s become possessive over the baby’s toys (not his own). He’s been nothing but sweet toward the baby, but has snarled, growled, and snapped when we take away the baby’s toys from him, which is out of character. We love him dearly, but can’t risk any aggressive behavior around our soon to be mobile baby. Has never shown aggressive behavior prior.

Ellie would benefit as a working dog, or maybe even a running partner, but most importantly she needs someone who is commited to training. She loves water and getting in her foster moms kiddie pool is her favorite! She does well with other dogs but doesn't really interact. Ellie would do best in a home with older children due to her high energy. No cats for her. She is not house and crate trained but she's working on it.? Ellie is an 8-9 month old Border Collie who weighs about 35-40lbs

This is Triton! He is a very energetic and happy dog. We adopted him from IndyHumane in May 2023. Some of his quirky traits are: - ZOOMIES! - Will sing with you - Loves to play! With humans and with other doggies - LOVES Kong toys!! They’re the only indestructible toy we’ve found. Triton is always looking for time outside, and time to play with his people. He’s not much of a cuddler but will love to lay in the bed with you. He gets along great with my senior dog, and my senior cat! He’s great around children (12+ is all I’ve witnessed). He is very weary of Men, it takes him a day or two to get used to men. He is not aggressive by any means, but will bark and growl with food which is something new we’ve been noticing. He is a big puller on a leash, which is something we struggled to keep up with. Overall he is a very sweet and fun dog, we are looking for someone that can play fetch with him, give him time outside and can help attend to his behavioral needs.

This charming pup came to Misty Eyes after being found as a stray and brought to a local shelter. Although she is unsocialized, Micki has begun to learn about being a companion dog. She is somewhat fearful at first, but soon warms up to people and dogs. She has not been introduced to cats. Because of her shyness/anxiety in new situations, Micki is not recommended for young children. She is better with children old enough to understand when she wants to be left alone.Like any young puppy, Micki is full of playful energy and loves to romp, explore, and have fun. She’s still learning her manners, so she’ll need an adopter committed to helping her with training and guidance as she grows into a wonderful companion. She is fearful of a collar and leash and is learning about leash walking, but will need continued training in that area.As a Blue Heeler mix, Micki comes from a smart, active herding breed known for intelligence and loyalty. She’ll do best with a family that understands her need for regular exercise, mental stimulation, and activities to keep her busy and engaged – with walks, games, training sessions, or adventures. Because she has not yet mastered leash walking, a securely fenced yard is preferred for this lovely pup.
