Luke is basically a rom-com lead in dog form. Handsome? Unfortunately, yes. Beautiful eyes? Extremely. Little white socks? Fully committed to the bit. He looks like the guy who’d jog by in a movie montage and somehow still have perfect hair, except Luke’s version is sprinting after a tennis ball like it personally offended him. 😌🎾 At about 1 year old, Luke is young, fun, and operating at a strong “let’s make today more exciting than it needs to be” energy level. He loves fetch, loves to run, loves to play, and would happily like that noted in the official record. He’s also great in the car, loves a good bone, and knows “sit,” which means he does have some management potential beneath all that chaos and good looks. Luke was found as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past, but his current personality is pretty clear: he’s social, happy, affectionate, and very easy to like. He does great with people, enjoys other dogs, and has the kind of charm that makes you forgive him for acting like every thrown toy is the championship round. Hey everyone! My name is hopscotch! I have a very very sad story. I was picked up at a local very overcrowded shelter with my foot missing on one of my back legs. The muscle in my leg had completely atrophied and my leg was very infected. My back leg had to be amputated. I weighed 31 pounds and every bone in my body could be seen even under my thick coat of fur. I was such a medical mess my rescue didn’t expect me to make it. I am on the road to recovery but because of how neglected I was, I have a few requirements in my forever home! I am fostered with dogs and a small child and I’m great with dogs of all sizes! I am not a fan of kitties so I would need a home with no kitties! I am great with my foster mom’s kid but she thinks my best home would be with older kids. I have perfect house manners and would not even need crated if I was in a home alone. I had a litter of puppies I was clearly still nursing when I was found as a stray in a ditch but my puppies were never found. It’s hard telling what happened to them :( I am ready to find my happily ever after! I will need a fenced yard and someone who understands that it might it take me a few days to get the hang of things but once I do I will love you with my entire heart and soul! I am obedient, I am so smart, I’ve been through two different board and trains to learn the perfect manners a girl should have, and I would give my life for the family I love. Adoption donation fee is $50 which it is tax-deductible and goes towards the care of homeless pets with Unchained Souls Canine Rescue. I came from California because I was being neglected—left without food and stuck in a cramped spot the owners bought me to Indiana is looking for a better place for me because I have a lot of energy I like playing outside and right know I live in a small apartment. This is Triton! He is a very energetic and happy dog. We adopted him from IndyHumane in May 2023. Some of his quirky traits are: - ZOOMIES! - Will sing with you - Loves to play! With humans and with other doggies - LOVES Kong toys!! They’re the only indestructible toy we’ve found. Triton is always looking for time outside, and time to play with his people. He’s not much of a cuddler but will love to lay in the bed with you. He gets along great with my senior dog, and my senior cat! He’s great around children (12+ is all I’ve witnessed). He is very weary of Men, it takes him a day or two to get used to men. He is not aggressive by any means, but will bark and growl with food which is something new we’ve been noticing. He is a big puller on a leash, which is something we struggled to keep up with. Overall he is a very sweet and fun dog, we are looking for someone that can play fetch with him, give him time outside and can help attend to his behavioral needs.
