Story
From Nolan's Texas foster: "Nolan has blossomed so much while with me. He has learned about playing with toys which he seemed to not have had previous exposure to. Now he has the zoomies all over the house throwing his toys around and catching them in the air. He is now cat friendly. Today him and the cat were both eating out of the same bowl! He is super smart. He learned how to open my back door to let himself in and out so a deadbolt is a must with him. He learned how to open my fridge because the cheese is in there, lol. He now knows sit, shake, and lay down and we almost had stay but ran out of time. It’s been so fun watching him play with my dogs and learning to be a family dog. I love how he matched the energy to the kids based on their ages. The 2 year old he is so gentle with and so calm but get the 15 year old is outside with him, he's running everywhere playing with them. He matches the energy of the other dogs depending on their size and play style. With a consistent schedule, he has had no accidents in the house. He is an amazing dog and is going to be a great family dog." is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Story
🐾WALLACE🖤 Wallace is a loving, handsome, 1.5 year old border Collie/husky mix. He is amazing with other dogs & lives with a bunch of them! He does well with cats as long as a clear expectation is made of how he should behave. 🐱 Wallace is house trained and kennel trained, and he walks/runs well on leash! He would do well with older children as long as they are familiar with the breed & ok with potentially being herded. 🐶 This sweet boy thrives with consistency. He has a hard time adapting to change but has gotten better and will continue to improve with the right amount of training. Wallace can get very excited and just needs someone calm and consistent in these times to help him be the best boy!🖤 Is Wallace the pup you’ve been looking for? If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and New England States. Our adoption fee includes transport fee, spay/neuter, current vaccinations, deworming, heart worm test for animals over 7 months old, all necessary vetting and an interstate health certificate. Story
Alpha is the biggest pup of the litter and the most loyal. He is super smart and affectionate. He loves to play, but is not hyper. He is very focused and chill for such a young border collie mix! We are huge fans of the active breeds, and if you are looking for a smart, easy-to-train pup that will be on the smaller side (maybe 35-40 lbs?), this is your pup! Alpha is looking for a best friend!
