Story
Frankie is a sweet puppy boy who is a foster favorite. He's everything you want in a dog: goofy, loving, playful, sweet, and cuddly! We think he's a border collie/bully breed mix, but whatever his mix is, it makes him perfect! A smart little guy, Frankie keeps his crate clean and does really well in the house. He loves chasing balls and wrestling with other dogs. This sweet puppy's greatest trait is that he loves his people. While his littermates take off when they come out of the crate, he immediately stays behind to give kisses and be petted. There's a heart dog in every litter, and Frankie is that dog. Frankie was born in December 2025 and found on a dirt road in January. He's fully vetted and ready to be your best snuggle buddy. If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. Shes incredibly friendly and adores everyone she meets, including kids, cats, and other dogs. Story
Meet Sheesh, a one-year-old pup whose unique personality perplexed her foster mom until she received the breed results — border collie and Labrador retriever!  Sheesh’s hobbies are all lab. She loves playing fetch and brings the ball back consistently.  Sheesh also loves water and will go towards any source of water, whether it’s coming from a sprinkler in the neighborhood or running in a creek. She loves being outside in the rain and isn’t afraid of getting all wet. She’s so calm and easy during baths that her foster mom still bathes her in the kitchen sink even though she’s much too big for it now at 45 lbs full grown.  The border collie in Sheesh is also very apparent in how intelligent and obedient she is. Sheesh follows instructions without the need for a treat. She’ll come when you call her name and go to her crate when told to. She’s very smart and learns new skills quickly. She also has some herding tendencies and can get very focused on things like a squirrel in the yard. She’s of course energetic, but does take plenty of naps throughout the day.  Sheesh will do best in an active home with owners who want to take her on long morning walks. Sheesh loves her walks, but she can get a little too excited by other excitable dogs she encounters. She will need someone willing to work with her on this, possibly with a trainer’s help. Sheesh is very redirectable and responsive if the person walking her knows what to do.  Sheesh has been in her foster home since July 2024 and is fully potty trained, crate trained and has zero separation anxiety. She’s super friendly, happy and loving, and is friends with all the dogs in her foster home. There’s not a mean bone in her body. She even shows remarkable patience with small puppies, letting them climb all over her and chew on her beautiful, fluffy tail. Although she’s not perfect, Sheesh is a special young dog who will bring great joy to her forever family.”

Story
Meet Todd Todd is a 5-month-old Border Collie mix with the sweetest personality and a fun, playful spirit. Hes expected to stay on the smaller side, around 40 lbs full grown, making him a great medium-sized companion. This smart boy is quick to learn and loves to make his people smile with his goofy, funny personality. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, hes incredibly affectionate and loyal. Todd is doing wonderfully with house training and crate training, and hes already showing how eager he is to learn. He does great with kids and other dogs, but will need a feline-free home as he may chase cats. Todd is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home

Story
Meet Ryder, a sweet, happy-go-lucky puppy who is ready to leave his difficult beginnings behind and start the wonderful life he deserves. Ryder is part of a litter born to an incredible mama (picture included) who spent far too long living chained outside in a heartbreaking situation. Despite everything she endured, she kept her puppies safe and cared for them with unwavering devotion. After weeks of determined efforts, mama and her babies were finally brought to safety, where Roscoe has been thriving ever since.Like any young puppy, Ryder is full of curiosity, playful energy, and endless enthusiasm. He loves exploring the world around him, playing with his siblings, and discovering new adventures each day. He's affectionate, fun-loving, and has the kind of joyful spirit that will bring smiles to everyone around him.Ryder is looking for a forever family that understands puppies don't come fully trained—they need patience, consistency, socialization, and plenty of positive reinforcement as they learn the ropes. The time and love invested in him now will be rewarded with a lifetime of loyalty, companionship, and unconditional love.If you're ready to welcome a playful best friend into your home and enjoy all the fun that comes with raising a puppy, Ryder is waiting to meet you!Breed: Border Collie/American Staffordshire Terrier   (Breed Mix is not guaranteed - no DNA testing has been done)Age: 10 weeks as of 7/5/26Weight: 10 lbsSpayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Appropriate rounds of puppy vaccines given; future vaccines are the responsibility of the adopter(s)Heartworm: Too young (testing is done at 6 months of age)Housetrained:  Not usuallyMicrochipped: YesLocation of dog currently:  TennesseePuppy Adoption Fee:  $600.00 (includes transport fee when applicable)                                  $100-150 additional mandatory quarantine fee applies to Massachusetts residents.Adoption Fee Includes:>A spay/neuter surgery rebate, paid to the adopter once proof of surgery is provided to Paws New England. Unless you are an experienced dog owner and your Adoption Coordinator is comfortable with your experience, you will be required to attend puppy training and/or behavior classes. This requirement benefits both you and your puppy by providing the tools and support to build a successful, lifelong relationship. Please Think Carefully Before Adopting a PuppyPuppies are adorable—but they are also a lot of work! Before applying, please consider whether you're ready for the commitment.~ Puppies cannot be crated for more than 3–4 hours at a time while they are young.~ Your home will need to be puppy-proofed.~ Puppies chew, scratch, nip, and have accidents while learning if you have young children, consider whether they are prepared for normal puppy behavior.~ Consistent training, socialization, exercise, and patience are essential.~ Most importantly, make sure you have the time and commitment a puppy deserves.Important Information: Paws New England is a foster-based rescue.
