Story
Frankie is a sweet puppy boy who is a foster favorite. He's everything you want in a dog: goofy, loving, playful, sweet, and cuddly! We think he's a border collie/bully breed mix, but whatever his mix is, it makes him perfect! A smart little guy, Frankie keeps his crate clean and does really well in the house. He loves chasing balls and wrestling with other dogs. This sweet puppy's greatest trait is that he loves his people. While his littermates take off when they come out of the crate, he immediately stays behind to give kisses and be petted. There's a heart dog in every litter, and Frankie is that dog. Frankie was born in December 2025 and found on a dirt road in January. He's fully vetted and ready to be your best snuggle buddy. Story
Meet Todd Todd is a 7-month-old Border Collie mix with the sweetest personality and a fun, playful spirit. He's expected to stay on the smaller side, around 40 lbs full grown, making him a great medium-sized companion. This smart boy is quick to learn and loves to make his people smile with his goofy, funny personality. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, hes incredibly affectionate and loyal. Todd is doing wonderfully with house training and crate training, and hes already showing how eager he is to learn. He does great with kids and other dogs, but will need a feline-free home as he may chase cats. Todd is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home

🏆Major🏆 This handsome boy is Major, he is the best boy and the life of the party! 🎉 Major is around two years old and is a most likely a border collie / lab mix (a Borador). Major is very smart and is already house trained. He is great with other dogs and loves everyone he meets. 😊 Major needs room to play and he is looking for a big fenced in yard to run off his energy and play endless games of fetch. He would make the perfect family dog or bestie for an active compile. If you are interested in learning more about Major, please submit an adoption application. This guy checks all the boxes for being the best boy and can’t wait to meet his forever family. ❤️ If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at https://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/forms PLEASE MAKE NOTE- OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN ALABAMA (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), OUR DOGS TRANSPORT TO THEIR NEW FAMILIES IN RHODE ISLAND AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN ADOPTED. She hasn't met cats or kids, so slow introductions to new friends will be important. She would do best as the only dog in the family. Her loving nature and energetic personality would fit well in an active family who's ready to give her all the well-deserved attention! Story
Darling  Haze has arrived in Rhode Island adoption ready :)  He is the kindest, charming and most thoughtful puppy....everyone who meets him falls in love with him in an instant....and such a dapper fellow with the most handsome markings!  Haze is a happy little mutt puppy with several breeds melded in....a fun genetic mystery who more likely than not should mature to a medium size.  We think he was separated from his mom early, after which  this poor fellow spent a month at a large intake shelter in Houston getting passed over, but he has very much relished  being in a foster home since!  Haze has a high social center and wants very much to make friends with other dogs. Placing him with another dog would be a perk so that he can catch up on some dog socialization, but it certainly is not essential.  He'd do very well with a full family to provide him with plenty of attention, which he loves as a pup with not too independent a nature, but he does know how to settle and for a puppy his energy is quite reasonable.   Haze is doing very well with learning the ropes as an eager and attentive pupil, showing an exceptional amount of natural handler focus, does well on his walks, is coming along well with his housebreaking, and will make a perfect companion to devote your time to through your adventures this summer and beyond! For further information or an application, please contact Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com  Our adoption fee is $450, but unfortunately due to state restrictions we cannot adopt to residents of New Hampshire or Massachusetts.   For further information or an application, please contact Lucy at maramuser@gmail.com  Our adoption fee is $450, but unfortunately due to state restrictions we cannot adopt to residents of New Hampshire or Massachusetts.
