Meet Zukie - The Cutie — A tiny girl with a big heart and a beautiful future ahead. Imagine spending your life in a place where love is scarce, comfort is almost nonexistent, and the world beyond those walls is something you can only dream of. That was Zukie's reality. At just three years old, this precious little girl was found living in a hoarding house, surrounded by heartbreaking conditions no dog should ever have to endure. Instead of a safe, clean place to sleep, a loving hand to reach for, or a family to call her own, Zukie was trapped in a world where the most basic needs and comforts of life were missing. No dog deserves to live that way. Every dog deserves kindness, security, and the chance to know what it feels like to truly belong. But here's the beautiful thing about Zukie: despite the start life gave her, her sweet spirit is still shining! This adorable 17-pound girl is playful, loving, and just the cutest little bundle of fun! She's wonderful with other dogs and great with kids. She's even house-trained! We suspect she's a Flat-Coated Retriever/Border Collie mix, but whatever her mix, we know one thing for sure: she's 100% deserving of a life filled with love. Now, Zukie's story is ready for a new chapter. She is still in Puerto Rico, but her flight to a brighter future is coming soon. And somewhere out there, her person is waiting to meet her. Someone who will give her a soft bed, a full belly, gentle hugs, happy walks, and the comfort of knowing she will never have to live that way again. Zukie has already survived the hard part. Now she deserves the happy ending. Could you be the person who shows this little girl that the world can be beautiful, that people can be kind, and that home is a place where she will always be safe and loved? We adopted him as a rescue dog when he was younger and were told he is a Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix, although this has not been confirmed. He is now 3.5 years old and is incredibly sweet, loving, playful, energetic, affectionate, and loyal. He has lots of love to give and enjoys being active and playing, but he can also be anxious. We are looking for a loving, patient home that can provide him with plenty of exercise, attention, and mental stimulation. Because of his energy level and anxiety, we feel he would do best in a home without young children and preferably without other pets. We want to find a home that is a better fit for his needs, where he can feel comfortable, safe, and loved.

As a rescue, We do not euthanize, but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. We can only save them when space is available or we have a committed adopter. Puppies DO get euthanised regularly too. If looking a puppy please allow for age and weight increase if post is slightly older, as we have to manually update. Posting dates are on the listings. MEET JIGGY, he is 8 weeks old. He has had a ruff beginning was found curdled up to the corpse of a deer, how said cold and hungry 💔💔💔. Look at the sweet face, a high kill shelter is a scary place for a tiny baby!
