Story
Ira is an (almost) 11-year-old Border Collie mix, though people are routinely surprised when they find out his age! He has the energy of a much younger dog. At 32 pounds, he's big enough to have a real presence but small enough to scoop up as needed. Through no fault of his own, Ira needs a new home as he is not so sure about the toddler in the family.Ira is happiest when he's with YOU. Whether you are looking for a companion for long walks or a buddy to curl up on the couch with (or both!), Ira is your guy. He's a charmer with a stellar track record of winning over dog people and non-dog people alike through his affectionate and snuggly demeanor. Ira is a little smarty-pants who knows his commands (sit, stay, shake, roll over — though he can only roll to his left!).Ira would do best with adults or teenagers only at home. He is uneasy around young children and is leash reactive to other dogs. He has NO major medical issues.

Story
Saved in the knick of time. Scheduled to be euthanized. This little guy hit the jackpot, getting in the safe hands of one of our rescue partners. Jet is a 4 month old, 8 pound mixed breed pup. Breed mix is a mystery, maybe border collie mix? Expected to be small/medium when grown. He is a great pup in his foster home. Does well with the other dogs. Adventurous. Coming to Massachusetts in June

Story
Meet Stubby! This sensitive sweetheart was living in a bubble in his previous home, meaning he wasn`t meeting a lot of new people or animals, and wasn`t going to a lot of new places. As such, he`ll need a patient adopter who can help him settle in and learn how to be successful in a home at his own pace. New people and environments can sometimes be a bit scary for Stubby, so he would do best in a low-traffic home and quiet neighborhood that he can explore as he grows more comfortable. Stubby could potentially live with cats and older children who are well-versed in shy dog skills, but he`d prefer to be the only dog in your life right now!

Yin **Currently Available for Adoption!** Good with Kids and Dogs! Meet Yin! 4 mos./18 lb./Female/Collie Mix Name: Yin Age: 4 months Weight: 18 lbs Breed: Collie Mix Status: Sweet, playful soul with the perfect blend of fun & snuggles About Me: Hi! I’m Yin! I’m a happy-go-lucky pup with a gentle heart and a playful spirit. I love exploring, making new friends, and being part of whatever’s going on—but I’ve also got a soft, easygoing side that makes me just as happy to relax and soak up the love. I’m still learning all my puppy basics, but I’m eager, attentive, and excited to grow into the best companion I can be. I’ve got that “best of both worlds” vibe—fun when it’s time to play, and sweet when it’s time to cuddle. Best Qualities: • Friendly and social—I love meeting new people • Playful puppy energy with a calm, gentle side • Affectionate and loves being near his people • Curious and eager to learn • Well-balanced personality (true to my name!) My Ideal Match: • A loving home ready for all the fun and growth that comes with a puppy • Someone committed to training, guidance, and consistency • A family who enjoys playtime, walks, and cozy downtime • Bonus if there’s a doggy friend to help show me the ropes! Deal Breakers: • Homes not prepared for puppy energy, training, and patience • Being left alone for long stretches—I thrive with companionship • Little structure or routine—I do best with guidance as I learn Fun Fact: I’m all about balance—zoomies one minute, snuggles the next ☯️💕

Story
Lilo's foster family in Texas is absolutely in love with her!!! She is a little shy at first but once she warms up after a a some patience and treats....she is very affectionate and loving. She is a young adult who had 9 beautiful puppies and was a great mom. 45 pound mixed breed, border collie mix. She is very aware of what is going on around her at all times, foster thinks she has border collie in her which explains why she always wants to be working and playing, not in a hyper way. Lilo is very smart is is doing great with her training. Is a pro at sit and is getting there quickly with leash walking and heel. 9 and 14 year old grandchildren of the foster visit often and she does great with them. On leash she doesn't seem to care about the other animals on the property, goats and ducks. Going to do cat intro see how that goes. The perfect home for Lilo would be an patient, but active home that enjoys training and would get pleasure in seeing her blossom as she learns more every day. www.sunnypawsrecue.org
