Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. To apply to adopt this dog now, complete our adoption application   HERE To see our upcoming events where you can meet some of our dogs, please see   HERE Age: 2 months (as of 11/30/25) Weight: 5 - 6 lbs (as of 11/7/25) This dog has been spayed/neutered, is up to date on shots, on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. You’ll be talking about the Holstein pups until the cows come home! Meet Bessie, a delightful puppy with a heart full of joy. Bessie and her brothers Apple, Bruno, Earl, Duke, and Ferdinand and sisters Elsie, Nellie, and Dottie can’t wait to meet you! We are thinking these sweet playful pups are a Border Collie mix. This goofy, gentle soul brings laughter and warmth to everyone around her. Bessie's intelligence shines through in her quick learning and clever play. She adores playing with kids, making friends with other dogs, and is interested in cats in a playful way. Her playful spirit and sweet nature make every day brighter. Bessie is described as a calm, observant, and chill pup. Being just puppies, the Holstein litter will have so much to learn! They'll need house training, crate training and will need to learn to walk on a leash. We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience classes because you get to learn commands together, and it offers an opportunity for confidence building and socialization for the dog. Bessie would be a perfect addition to any loving family looking for a bundle of fun and affection. Bring Bessie home, or one of her littermates, and experience the boundless love and joy she brings! An adoption donation is required for each adoption; please see   HERE   for more information about this. To apply for this dog, fill out an adoption application on our website:   Adoption Application - SOS Animal Rescue League in Rhode Island (sosarl.org)   **Additional info you should know - For most of our dogs, we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 20, 2025, 1:25 pm
