Story

Alder is an extremely sweet, quiet, shy boy. He is the dog version of an introvert. He is gentle and sticks to himself and is great with other dogs of all sizes and with cats. He doesn't engage much with them thought as he prefers to do his own thing. He has to be the most low maintenance and chill dog I've ever had in the rescue out of hundreds of dogs. He is hesitant with people he doesn't know but never aggressive. Not an ounce of aggression. He was listed as a pit bull mix at the shelter when he was smaller and still a younger puppy but now that he is an older puppy (about a year) it's obvious that he is not a pittie but looks more like a border collie. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Randomly goes for a swim in the pond. Affectionate but also independent. Currently about 30 lbs. Someone will be very lucky to bring her into their family. She is currently still in Oklahoma where she was rescued but she can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. Finn is a 1yr old neutered male Border Collie/ Aussie mix . He weighs about 35 lbs. He was an owner surrender because of a divorce. Harley is a happy, friendly and outgoing guy. He has a higher energy level outside but does calm down in the house. He is a bit confused but is dealing with his new situation the best he can. He is use to a fenced in yard and another dog as a playmate. He has been great with children, cats and other dogs. He is house trained and crate trained. He is up to date on shots and wormed. Ellie was given to my husband 10 years ago. She has enjoyed living in a large open yard. My husband died of cancer 2 years ago. I have limited funds and can't take Ellie with me when I move in town. Ellie is approximately 15 years old. She has 3 large cyst. The most noticeable one is on her left shoulder. She is very with good people. She has never bit anyone. She will tear a raccoon or small animal apart. Physically, I would be unable to walk her. She wears a loose shock collar to keep her in her boundary and out of my neighbors garbage. The shock collar system will be given to anyone taking her.

Apollo (Appa) is a good dog, gentle for the most part (he does like to play and is oblivious to his size) and has done well with kids, other dogs (after he gets used to them), and cats. He's a 4.5 year old Aussie mix and up-to-date on shots. Apollo has Canine Epilepsy and takes quite a few meds to keep his seizures under control. The meds help for the most part, but occasionally he still has an episode. He's not neutered since he had seizures before we could take him in. He'd do best with a fenced in yard where he can run. Our family is growing, and we find we can't give him the time and care he needs anymore, but he's a good dog and we'd love to see him go to a loving home.
