Story
Willow is a sweet 1 year old Mixed Breed girl who is medium to large sized. We are told she likes other dogs but we recommend setting up a meet and greet before adoption to make sure it's a perfect match. She absolutely loves walks and seems like a very well mannered pup! Willow will need a home without cats, but due to her social nature we feel she will do well with kids. As always we recommend bringing the entire family to meet her!Adoption Fee: $200, includes her spay and all veterinary care as needed. If interested in meeting Willow, please stop in during open hours, Monday-Saturday 12-5:30 pm. We recommend leaving your dog home for the first meet.

Story
This is Coney. He's a very sweet boy and his human is in the terrible position of needing to find him a new home ASAP. Coney is very smart and has a good foundation of commands like sit, down, stay, leave it, come, wait, place, heel. He does well with most other dogs and has gone to and enjoyed doggie daycare. Handles boarding well. No cats or young children. He mostly does well on leash - likes to sniff and meander. When he does pull it is usually due to some reactivity toward moving things and occasional concern about people/other dogs, but highly manageable. He can be a little shy but warms up very quickly - sometimes a little jumpy but very good at going to get a toy and quite adept at a "place cue." At home he can be high energy but is also very capable and good at relaxing and hanging out. Crated when home alone with no problems. Is not destructive. He likes to be outside in the yard and take naps on the porch in the sun. More details available upon request!

Story
Elsa is a 5 year old Border Collie mix weighing 54 pounds who came to the shelter as a stray so her history is unknown. Elsa is a smart, sweet and affectionate girl, you couldn't ask for a more loyal companion! She is very shy with new people, multiple visits to the shelter needed for her to come out of her shell. Once she gets to know you her personality really shines! She is high energy, she loves walks, playing fetch and cuddles with her person. She LOVES playing with balls and is good on a leash. Knows commands sit, shake, laydown & roll over. Her breed needs an active lifestyle such as running, hiking, biking or walking regularly. Her personality is as big as her heart! She came to us with an ear and skin infection, she has been seen and treated by a veterinarian and is currently on Apoquel for suspected allergies which should continue in her new home along with a special diet. She is also on Prozac for her anxiety while here at the shelter, separation anxiety is suspected. She will not thrive in a home where she is left alone for hours at a time. Her adoption fee is $150, this includes her spay, heartworm test, vaccines current, deworming, heartworm/flea prevention and micro chipped. Her dog license is also required to be purchased for Sandusky County residents at time of adoption, which is an additional $20.75. Please visit the shelter to meet her, we show dogs Monday through Friday 1pm-4:30pm and Saturday 1pm-3:30pm. Once you have visited the shelter, you are then eligible to submit an adoption application for review. Please note, we do not offer same day adoptions and there is a $10 non-refundable application fee.Come and meet your new best friend today! The Humane Society of Sandusky County is open Monday -Friday 1pm - 5pm and Saturdays from 1pm - 4pm. Also, be sure to check us out on FaceBook!

Chase is a great dog when its just you and him or maybe a significant other and yourself. He just gets possesive over you when you bond. The only reason we are rehoming him is because he started to growl and get mad at our 1 year old and I cant take any chances I need him to be rehomed asap I have food and everything for him.

Story
Luna is a female 5 year old Border Collie/German Shepherd mix. I am looking to re-home her due to her recently biting members of my family. The incident was due to our child overstepping her boundaries. She has moderate anxiety, and is often nervous around new people. She is a loving and fun dog when she is comfortable. She is independent and very smart. She is a great dog for a single person or couple who do not have kids or other animals.
