Hi! I'm Anabelle. I'm a 9 year old Border Collie Black Lab mix. She is a gentle and loving dog who likes to be around people. Anabelle loves to go on walks and be outside. She is afraid of storms and the sound of shooting guns and will want to be inside if either of those occur. She is great with kids and people and when properly and slowly introduced to dogs she is fine. She is looking for a loving home where she can get the attention she deserves! This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in learning more, please e-mail adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com

Story
Curious. Bouncy. Gentle. Sweet. Brave. Lasso is a handsome, 2-year-old, 38# Border Collie who is learning that the world can be a safe and wonderful place. At first, he may watch from a distance, quietly taking everything in with thoughtful eyes. With patience, consistency, and kindness, you'll witness something truly special. His confidence blossoms, his playful side emerges, and his affectionate heart shines brighter every day. Lasso is the perfect companion for a family that appreciates the intelligence and sensitivity of herding breeds. He enjoys daily walks, romping around the yard, and chasing his canine friends in joyful games of tag. When playtime winds down, you'll find him happily sorting through the toy box or curled up with a Kong. If food is involved, Lasso is all in. Treats are the fastest way to his heart. Lasso is searching for a home that understands trust is mutual, and it is earned with kindness, patience and time. He must have a mature, confident canine sibling in his new home. He seeks out his crate when he needs a quiet place to relax. His ideal family will provide a daily routine, celebrate every victory, and allow him to move at his own pace. Respectful kids aged 12+ could be a good match. A fully fenced yard is required to allow him a safe place to romp and play. He's working on leash manners and basic obedience, making steady progress every day. We think he would be ok with dog-savvy cats. The family lucky enough to earn Lasso's love and trust will discover an extraordinary companion. If you are willing to meet him where he is today and be part of his journey, Lasso promises a lifetime of loyalty, quiet companionship. The incredible joy of watching a once-cautious dog become the very best version of himself is impossible to describe. APPLY to adopt him at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Lasso is being fostered in Minneapolis, MN. His adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Story
First, his looks catch your eye. Then you learn about his personality and you're hooked! Blaze is a 54#, 5-year-old Border Collie with a sunny personality and a zest for life that's as bright as a perfect summer day. He thinks every day should include a game of fetch or frisbee and plenty of time spent with his favorite people. Happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and adventurous, Blaze loves being part of the action, whether that's a morning walk, a trip to the park, or a backyard barbecue. His energy level is a wonderful balance: he's always ready for fun and activity, and he's equally happy to relax and enjoy downtime with his family afterward. Blaze would thrive with an active, herding breed-experienced family that appreciates both his intelligence and enthusiasm. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling and is well-socialized in the world. He's crate trained and keeps four on the floor. He knows a few basic obedience commands and wants to learn more. With his smarts, a little time and some good treats, and we bet he can learn anything! A fenced yard would be ideal for Blaze so he has room to stretch his legs and enjoy his favorite games. He can happily live as an only dog or with a canine companion. He is a herding dog, which includes nipping at ankles if given the opportunity. Families with older kids are the best fit no littles, please. He likes to check cats out, but is not aggressive. He could live with dog-savvy felines. Blaze will be an even happier boy when he loses roughly 7-8 lbs. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy who will happily join you for all of life's summer fun, and then curl up nearby when the day is done, Blaze may be your perfect match! APPLY to adopt him at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Blaze is being fostered in Clear Lake, MN. Story
Hi! My name is Madison, and I'm from Minnesota! Madison is a happy, social butterfly that thinks everyone should stop and say hi to her. She likes to go for walks and has discovered that she can meet more people this way. Madison sleeps in her crate through the night. She has become quite the snuggle bug and enjoys sleeping by your side.   Potty training is in progress. She’s doing better with frequent let outs. Dogs and toys are her favorites. Madison can be quite vocal at times so shared walls would not be the best situation for her. I work from home so she’s not crated during the day. Madison has also gone to work with foster mom and, again, enjoys meeting all the new people there. She’s also a fast learner and knows how to sit and shake Madison is a sweet, well-tempered girl that will make a great addition to any family.
