Hi! I'm Anabelle. I'm a 9 year old Border Collie Black Lab mix. She is a gentle and loving dog who likes to be around people. Anabelle loves to go on walks and be outside. She is afraid of storms and the sound of shooting guns and will want to be inside if either of those occur. She is great with kids and people and when properly and slowly introduced to dogs she is fine. She is looking for a loving home where she can get the attention she deserves! This pet is microchipped, spayed/neutered & up to date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $250. If you are interested in learning more, please e-mail adoptions.protectingpaws@gmail.com

Story
First, his looks catch your eye. Then you learn about his personality and you're hooked! Blaze is a 54#, 5-year-old Border Collie with a sunny personality and a zest for life that's as bright as a perfect summer day. He thinks every day should include a game of fetch or frisbee and plenty of time spent with his favorite people. Happy-go-lucky, affectionate, and adventurous, Blaze loves being part of the action, whether that's a morning walk, a trip to the park, or a backyard barbecue. His energy level is a wonderful balance: he's always ready for fun and activity, and he's equally happy to relax and enjoy downtime with his family afterward. Blaze would thrive with an active, herding breed-experienced family that appreciates both his intelligence and enthusiasm. He walks beautifully on leash without pulling and is well-socialized in the world. He's crate trained and keeps four on the floor. He knows a few basic obedience commands and wants to learn more. With his smarts, a little time and some good treats, and we bet he can learn anything! A fenced yard would be ideal for Blaze so he has room to stretch his legs and enjoy his favorite games. He can happily live as an only dog or with a canine companion. He is a herding dog, which includes nipping at ankles if given the opportunity. Families with older kids are the best fit no littles, please. He likes to check cats out, but is not aggressive. He could live with dog-savvy felines. Blaze will be an even happier boy when he loses roughly 7-8 lbs. If you're looking for a loyal adventure buddy who will happily join you for all of life's summer fun, and then curl up nearby when the day is done, Blaze may be your perfect match! APPLY to adopt him at hoabcr.org/how-to-adopt Blaze is being fostered in Clear Lake, MN. His adoption fee is $450 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. Upon adoption, all of our dogs go to their new homes with a collar and harness, leash, starter food, blanket, favorite toys & treats. They are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Hi! My name is Cricket and I'm from Arkansas! Cricket is sweet as can be! Shy at first, she settles in after a few days and makes an excellent companion with lots of personality. She needs a family that has the patience to meet her where she's at and help build her confidence around loud noises and on walks. Would love a companion animal and fenced yard! Has not been around kids, but we think she'd do great. Cricket's Favorite Things: – Her crate (it's her safe space!) – Snuggling, belly rubs, and giving lots of sweet kisses – Entertaining herself with soft toys to cuddle and rip into + hard toys to chew – TREATS! Dog treats and melons, blueberries, cheese, etc. – Looking to our resident dog to help build confidence – Fetching her ball in the yard and getting the zoomies out If you're looking for a loving and fun companion, apply to adopt Cricket today!

Story
Hi, my name is Madison and I'm from MN. From the foster: Madison is the life of the party! She’s a happy, social butterfly that thinks everyone should stop and say hi to her. She likes to go for walks and has discovered that she can meet more people this way. Madison sleeps in her crate through the night. Although she may let you know a couple times throughout the night that she’s had enough of her crate and would like to sleep next you. Potty training is in progress. She’s doing better with frequent let outs and getting rewards for doing business outside. Dogs and toys are her favorites. She also likes meeting and playing with the daycare kids next door. I work from home so she’s not crated during the day. Madison has also gone to work with foster mom and, again, enjoys meeting all the new people there. Madison is a sweet girl that will make a great addition to any family. She can’t wait to meet you!
